Stopped into Disc Replay while running
my errands this morning. Couldn't resist this one. Brings back alot of good memories

Great game. My neighbor's dad came to me ( I was around 13 ), because he couldn't solve the maze on the second play through. I had finished it 10 minutes and he spent hours getting lost.

I haven't checked my copy in years it probably needs to be replaced, here's a few from my collection, what I considered my gems that I bought collector cases for them, the rest are just in a wicker tray, along with my SNES and Genesis games: Original Metroid is still my all time favorite NES game as a kid.

I have a guide somewhere that explains how to get 7 or 8 hearts, the white sword, big shield, and a bunch of other stuff before you enter the first dungeon.
