Depends.  What kind of rare book?

Rare book dealers often specialize in this or that.

There is a printer in India that reprints long out of stock books.  They sew the signatures together like the older books.  It's a great resource if you want information above anything else.  Looked it up.  Gyan Books

Now, if you're into collecting antique books, never mind.

Powell's is my go to, but for the really rare stuff--Peter Harrington in London.  Also, Abe Books (owned by Amazon), but they tend to be a bit over-priced these days.
