Anyone else experience seating issues with gen3 pmags and psa lowers? Seems that there is what magpul calls an over insertion tab on these magazines. The tab is quite visible. I am not understanding it's importance.

Did you buy it in 2020? Their quality control has gone downhill since the panic started.

No, haven't had an issue. But my mags are a few years old.

The point of the overinstertion tab is that rifles can sometimes have cycling issues when you push the mag too far up into the mag well.

I think this is mainly when people slam their mags in too hard while under stress.

Yea, I trimmed the tab and no more issue.

PSA or magpul?

As I recall, that tab was added for one or more other guns that take the same mag.

Use USGI aluminum and call it a day
