You probably eat those roller dogs with 1000 miles on the odometer too. |

I miss my road trips. Texas and Louisiana have all that gas station food figured out.

Kwik trip in Wisconsin (not the Quiktrip thing in the South).

Pales in comparison to the McRib, which is back on the menu at the D. I'd eat the McRib daily if I could afford it.

The old texaco station in south riding had the best honey fried chicken and baloney, egg and cheese sandwiches!

A circle q I frequent has bbq and pizza. I've ate their cheese stuffed sausages on the roller wheel, haven't been brave enough to destroy my gut eating circle q bbq or pizza.

I can't bring myself to try gas station chicken. The Krispy Krunchy place near me reeks of weeks old fry oil, a brief moment in there and my clothes smell like it for hours.

Best fried chicken I’ve ever had came from a shitty gas station.
It’s serious business around here. |

I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant. |

I found it to be rather regional. I had great gas station chicken in Birmingham while in the Southwest Allsup's fried burritos are superior.

When I drove through Oklahoma I stopped at a four stripe or something like that .they had the best chicken I've ever had

OP, your Indians must change the fryer oil more often than they do here. You walk into one of those here and your clothes smell like that all day. I wouldn't eat chicken fried in last year's grease. Nasty.

Buddy of mine swears by a particular gas station chicken. He ate there for lunch 4 times a week for years. He just has bypass surgery last month. Just saying

Broasted is excellent, it all depends on how old - fresh out of the broaster, DELICIOUS

There was one here with excellent fried chicken but they stopped serving it when the pandemic hit.

There was a Mapco station in the town where I live that had some pretty tasty fried chicken. I haven't eaten any in years because my doctor does not like me endulging in that kind of stuff, but I remember it was good.
Not sure if they even sell it anymore. I may have to stop by to see if they still do and grab a few pieces. |

I work in an area that has a single location place, family owned and all that. Can buy gas, firewood, fishing license, live bait, and a full menu with fried chicken being the bomb. Always to go, slathered in honey and hot sauce.
B&B for any Ohioans around the Silver Spur City/Springboro area. |

Dolly's in Kiln, MS, just down the down from the "Broke Spoke" had pretty decent fried chicken after Katrina.
