I have hazy recollections of various shenanigans with M2 Bradleys.

One of them involved my PLSGT flying out of the hatch after nose diving into a ditch at night.

And another was at 11M school when the instructor took us off road through some thick brush and hit a tree that did not yield.

I've seen things you wouldn't believe. 113s melted to the ground while the external fire extinguisher handle hadn't been pulled. An M1 tank barrel after it had been traversed into the pine trees at 40 mph. A Bradley ramming the back of another Bradley so hard it separated the frame welds.

ETA: Oh, and the aftermath of someone driving an MTV with a Remote Weapons Station into the famous 11 ft 8 bridge. How could I forget that.

Shit no, man. I try not to publicly bash 2LTs by name on a public forum. Those guys might grow up to be my senior rater.

Now, face to face at a social occasion...

Yeah, my very first additional duties as a new WO1 was as a report of survey Officer (now called FLIPL) investigator where I assessed about 10-15K in liability to a young 1LT. Fast forward and he ends up as my senior rater.

He never held it against me.

Two thoughts come to mind:

The CIC doesn't know the difference between the USN and USMC???

Isn't that pretty much what Kirk did in Star Trek?
