Yes the private select is still running . We’ve had about 5 barrels drop so far this year in MN from various stores. But they sell out extremely fast and the price is nearing 80ish retail. We will only see 10 barrels in MN in 2020.

Shit, I don't know about $80 bucks. $60 is just fine which is what I usually see them for. Hopefully when they come they don't jack up prices  . But thanks for letting me know. I got scared there for a moment! |

Finally got an answer from Binny's Beverage Depot: they are expecting to drop new barrels in June. And now I'm giddy with excitement!!!

Found one! $75 bucks is really pushing it though. I hope they're not playing the Booker's game of "keep raising the price until no one buys it." OESV is not the rexipe I wanted, but I've never tried an OE recipe and it was all they had. 10 years 3 months old, jan 7, 2010 - April 16, 2020. 58.7% / 117.4 proof. Now to hit a different store and see if they have others!

Pretty rare in my area but was lucky enough to snag a couple OBSV, OESV, and OESK from different locations. High rye mashbills are definitely my favorites it seems.

The regular single barrel was right around $40. Small Batch was $30ish and Small Batch Select was just under $60. I didn’t see any store pick. I’m new to bourbon and I’m still trying to get my bourbon eye calibrated. Normally my price tops out at about $30/bottle for something I’m going to sip but I want to have a good idea of what I’m looking at in case I stumble across a good deal someday. |
