Cool video thanks for posting it.. funny fact: My raptor referenced it's width 0.200" and the R at 1.00" wider then my H1 (outside of tire to outside of tire), driving the raptor through a 9' garage door there is about 3" of clearance on each side for the mirrors driving in, my H1 is 6+" wider then the opening, I have to fold in the drivers side mirror to get it inside and drive blind pulling out. Also you could hold your wife's hand in a raptor |

The only thing funnier than normal, regular, everyday car manufacturer dealerships like Ford, Chevy, Dodge etc adding markups to top trim versions of vehicles is when the buyers in 2-3 years go to trade them in and find out they're upside down, and that Corvette stringray or special edition Mustang is just "a car" now, and depreciated from the starting MSRP, not the inflated markup they paid. By contrast, Lamborghini and Bentley will just order a car as-specced and deliver it. I don't know why the cheaper car brand dealerships need to perpetuate the stereotype of scumbag car salesmen, but they do it again and again... |

Nice find at 10 over. Would be super tempted. |

Take a look at the issues with the 8 AND 10 speed transmissions as well as the 3.0 baby max and 6.2l gas engines. Total shite i got news for you. ford and gm's have the same transmissions. They developed them together.

You can walk onto a Mclaren or Lamborghini dealership and buy pretty much any of their main vehicles brand new, with no markup. Porsche does the markup thing, but usually it's on stuff with a manual transmission on a model that generally holds value (or appreciates). Ferrari does their "you need to buy lots of X vehicles before you're worthy of certain models" thing, which mostly sustains their archetype image in the industry. Ford is NOT Porsche or Ferrari. Ford is an everyday car brand like Chevy, Honda, Dodge, Hyundai, etc.. Yes, they CAN make very special and exclusive models (GT40/GT, Viper, Lexus LFA, etc) but a fancy trim level of the F-150 is definitely not that. They're on drugs. This pickup truck will depreciate just like anything else in their lineup. Not only do I not understand why Ford thinks this model is special enough to impose ridiculous special snowflake requirements on dealers, I don't understand what moron thinks any F-150 is worth one cent above MSRP to shell out cash on one. It's an F-150. Who cares? Who the hell is really impressed by their friend's/neighbor's/relative's/etc fancy trim level of F-150, of all things? Not to shit on the trucks, they're fine, but it's like buying a gold plated screwdriver. It's for towing and hauling shit around. I really just don't understand it from the basic, lower end car companies like this. You're supposed to position the higher end stuff under a luxury marquee so you can get snobby with exclusive bullshit. If Cadillac released some fancy supercar that's exclusive to Cadillac and had some bullshit "previous customers only" waiting list thing, or a "you're invited to pre-order" scheme, then fine. I honestly don't even get it with the higher end Corvettes either really. |
