More tyranny from a government increasingly separated from its people.
The Hunger Games and 1984 were supposed to be works of fiction not "how to manuals". They are following the British model. The UK was successful in confiscating firearms due to the fact that everyone who possessed one legally in the UK at the time had licensed/registered it first with the UK government. That allowed the UK government to issue letters to those licensees demanding they turn over their firearms and made it easier to determine who had not complied. Make no mistake, this would be the first and necessary step to confiscation of assault weapons from citizens. |
