A symbolic victory is better than no victory. That being said, I won't be celebrating until bumpstocks return to "explicitly legal and unquestionably permitted for all applications" status. |

Shadow banned on Scribd seems weird. Why would they do that?

Quoted: Why do you think his position so fundamentally weak here? View Quote I'm going out on a limb here and saying because the case is so fundamentally weak. To stand it requires the judiciary to read the black letter of the law incorrectly and to allow ATF and the executive branch to claim powers that they aren't granted. |

Thanks OP! Looks like Judge Starr really bitch slapped the Federal Government this time around.

The Judge is just grinding on the incredible level of Stupid displayed by whatever DOJ attorney wrote that nonsense in the dismissal.
Won’t change anything. |

Even with a "win", is it just for compensation for the "seizure" and not legal ownership of bumpstocks?

Thanks Nolo.
I personally couldn’t ever get a bumpstock to work. My best was like 4-5 rounds and they were all over the backstop aka hillside. I’d rather I think have a binary trigger, but I’ve never shot one because, California. |

LOL, this guy is all right!
(2). The Bureau is a law enforcement agency within the Department of Justice. About the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, https://www.atf.gov/(last visited Mar. 17, 2020). The Court takes issue with the lack of an Oxford comma after “Firearms” in the Bureau’s name. Oxford commas add clarity and cost nothing. For example, can the Bureau regulate firearms independently from explosives, or does the lack of a comma in between those two words indicate they can only be regulated when found together? These and others are big problems tiny commas can solve View Quote |
