Since yesterday was MLK day, and most everyone was off work... and Virginia finally *FINALLY* got some snow, with temps around 30°, 32°. (Snow, sleet, freezing rain, back to snow), I decided to put a fire in the fireplace. I still have almost 2 cords of firewood leftover from last year (since VA didn't really have a winter), so why not?
Getting to the point: As soon as I got a nice fire going, my dog Reggie decided to stretch out on his dog bed right near the hearth, and wouldn't move! Ha ha ha... You have to step OVER him to tend the fire. I made a quick 8 second video with my phone, but for some reason the audio didn't come through. I am saying to Reggie, "I want the life you live" and ended the video with a quick laugh... https://imgur.com/gij8k55 |

Tip: When uploading video to imgur, you have to turn on the audio in the app upload feature or it will upload as silent by default. |

My Doberman loved baking by the fireplace. Come to think of it, about every dog I've had loved sleeping by a fire.

My wife loved a nice fire on a cold night and would sit right in front of it, with her Boston Terriers right next to her.
Their fur would get really hot but they loved it. |
