This fan sits in between a tig welder, lathe, milling machine and media blaster...it has been abused and neglected thoroughly. I clean my machines (mainly swarf after a job) and floor pretty regularly but the ceiling has cobwebs and the fan gets unnoticed. I was welding and got hot so I decided to turn my fan up from low to high and when I did the motor was so hot it almost burned my hand. After turning it off I was surprised at just how bad it was after 5 years of use. So about an hour later it was working at is should and looked much better. Now all that is left are those cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling.

I've seen the coils behind and underneath refrigerators that looked worse than that. Surprised it could keep anything cold.
