Was a beat to hell Ruger P85/89 I paid $115 for.  (I cant remember the exact model as they were essentially the same gun, except there was some kind of modification that was done to the p85s to prevent discharge when using the de cocker if I recall)

Regardless, I traded it straight across for a Springfield 1911 after about a year but I found a photo of it in the background of this photo circa like 2004, I was 22-23, AWB had just expired, my buddy worked at a pawn shop so I found some pretty good deals on my first couple firearms.

Good times

I did actually replace it with an equally beat up P95 a couple years ago as tribute to that ugly, heavy, and reliable pistol.

Edit- I just realized my SKS is in the photo.  It was my brothers gun at the time.  He was only 19 so he couldn't buy a pistol, so he bought that SKS, so I have his first gun.  I put it all back to stock though.  Damn I feel old seeing these photos.

First gun I ever bought was a Davis .380 POS that cut my hand everytime it cycled. I got rid of it thank God and started buying reliable firearms that didn't injure the shooter

Yes and no. First handgun was a S&W 22 Target model. Rear sight keep falling off so they swapped it out for a longer barreled version.

Absolutely! I don't sell guns. Cheap ass Taurus 22lr. and the barrel pops up.  Not even sure what its called.

I went and shot it, and although I loved it as my first and only gun,  I also said I wanted something bigger for self defense.  So I bought a 2" snub nose 357...lol....I was learning the hard way I guess!

Yeah, it was a Heritage .22 single action revolver.  I wore it out in a couple of years.  To be fair I shot it a lot.  Probably 500 rounds every time I went out.

The first gun I was given as a kid was a single shot .410.  It was a little big for me at the time, so I hunted squirrels with my Uncle's .410 which had a shorter stock.  By the time I grew into mine, I was given a 20 gauge Remington 870.  Both are still in my safe.

The first gun I bought for myself was an HK USP Compact in .45.  Still have that one too.

No. Single shot Mossberg .22LR rifle. Think my parents sold it when I was in VN.

I bought a Erma .22 "Luger" when I got back because it looked cool. Never worked well, finally sold it to a Luger collector. Don't miss it.

I do still have a Mossberg 500 that I bought right after the Erma.

Yep.  Ruger Single Six I got for Christmas as a kid.  Even still have the box.  I will never, ever part with it.

First gun I bought myself was a Beretta 92.  It’s loaded and in a drawer two feet away from me right now.

I’ve actually only ever sold two guns.

Grandad gave me one of those when I was about 13, still have it (rifle not girlfriend). The barrel has walked out on it like a lot of them though, gotta get a barrel wrench for it and smack it back in there.

Really good shooting .22.

My very first firearm I bought with my own money was a US&S 1911A1 in 1962.  I was 12 and had no idea that it was valuable.

I spent every cent I had on the gun and couldn't afford ammunition, but the guy at the store gave me seven rounds and let me go in the  back and fire them.

Put a lot of rounds through that gun, and eventually had to sell it to pay bills.

My son will get one when he turns 21.
