The thread about expensive pencils got me thinking...  It's been a couple years since I drew or painted anything, but there was a time, that was probably my most expensive hobby.  I was never great at it, but I always enjoyed it.

Curious how much artistic talent we have on the site...  Let's see your work.

... here's a few of mine.

Very nice work!
I can draw, I just don't.
This is the only thing I have scanned, drawn sometime in the '90s.  Lousy resolution but you "get the picture".

I’ve always enjoyed it, and wanted to be able to.  But I just never could get past a 3rd grade skill level.

I've been drawing since I was two years old (63 years ago).

Even took AP Art in high school, through a program administered by Princeton University.

Majored in Fine Arts in college. Minored in Transexual Dance Therapy.

Actually double-minored in English/Creative Writing and in Speech Communication, which proved a lot more useful.

Managed to build a career as an Art Director/Creative Director/Writer/Photographer/Illustrator, and buy a $650,000 home and put two boys through college.

"Hey fucker, let's see your work."

I don't have digitized or scanned examples of any of my drawings, prints, or sculptures. I only have commercial/business/technical/engineering shit that would not be of any interest. It's also business-confidential.

I more or less stopped being a fine artist when I became a commercial artist. Before that, my exhibition history was:

Yes.  But I haven't done it in a long time besides doodles.  Here's an art project I've done recently.

I used to draw constantly when I was in high school but these days I churn out maybe 1 sketch a year.  One of these days I will get back into the habit of drawing.

I draw well, but not quite as well as OP. Also, no idea how to post pics, so you'll have to take my word lol.

NO, I draw like a Parkinson patient drawing with his off foot. Not an artistic organ or bone in my body.

My drawings universally look like they were drawn by a 6 yo during a febrile seizure....

I wish I had that kind of talent.  My artistic talent lies in......

Will post later after I figgur out what artsy thing I’m good at...

I even sucked at mechanical drawing class with all the tools.

Now, my wife can draw photorealistic portraits.  It’s amazing.

Looks like we have a similar style...

I could never draw gradients... I could catch the shadows, just not blend then. So I just went with black and white...  I've been told mine were "cartoonish".

Found a few more...
