I’m trying to justify setting one up. Do I need one? Am I going to be mad I don’t have one when the commies want to fuck around and find out?
I have a bunch of shit in my cart from HSGI but give me your wisdom GD. Should I fo!? Good thing is I have like 5 plate carriers with plates. So I can wear on each of my extremities should I need to for lacking in the battle belt dept. |
|
I'd go fighting without a chest rig but I'd never go without my belt
|
|
So now I’m going to have to buy one it looks like
I just refuse to put pistol mags on my carrier so I figured on a belt with a few others things could work. |
|
Definitely. HSGI makes great stuff, but if you’re going that route, get the slim. Attached File
I prefer an inner/outer these days. |

I'm Batman.
Well, that's how they feel. But they are awful convenient. It's nice to have all that stuff already set up and ready to go. |
|
How do you guys keep your kit so clean? Is there something you do?
Mine looks like shit with old mud, blood and sweat even when I try and wipe everything down. |
|
I have one. U.S. Grunt gear infidel solid piece of gear. The Velcro is getting rough on the inner belt but I also wore it daily for 2 deployments.
|
|
Yes.
Very easy to deploy with everything you need that you set it up for. Especially when transitioning from my CCW handgun to a more equipped fighting device. The holster on the battle belt is empty so I can holster my handgun when I access my door pocket AR pistol or rifle. WB's are especially useful if you have to get out of your POV and fight on foot. YMMV. |

View Quote I've got the same one. Little bit different setup but overall the same thing. |

Yes. It is what we used in the old school days. I have a plate carrier, but I like a belt/harness with a slick carrier better.
If I want to be less noticeable, leave the battle belt at home, wear slick carrier under a jacket or big shirt and have a concealed weapon for gray man activities. |

Switched from a Crye low profile to a Ferro bison earlier this year. Very happy with it.

No, I don't like them and how they interfere with a plate carrier.
I get them issued when I deploy, but don't use them |

My Warrior Poet(Blue Alpha) belt finally arrived. I've been waiting since May.
Now I need to figure out the best way to set it up. |
|
Alright I Fo’d. Got an inner belt for my HSGI cobra belt and a dual pistol taco and single AR mag taco.
Good enough to get me started. |
|
I have a Ronin SENSHI belt that I absolutely love. As another poster mentioned, I'd grab my belt before my plate carrier.

Yes. Blue Alpha, Esstac, Blue Force Gear.
Blue Alpha Gear for the belt. Esstac mag pouches. Blue Force Gear Micro TKN with TQ hammock. You’re welcome. Attached File |

Yep
I spent way too much money putting together an HSGI Suregrip belt to hold mags, a dump pouch, IFAK, pistol, multitool, knife and a flashlight. I never wear it. |

Quoted: How you going to battle without a battle belt!? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes I have a battle belt, but I just cannot really envision the scenario under which I would grab it. If something seems trivial, I’ll just grab a handgun or an SBR. If something seems more serious, I will slip into my LBV (or plate carrier), which doesn’t take much more time than grabbing the battle belt ... but contains WAAAYY more stuff - like more mags, sidearm, binos, NODS, water, IFAK, etc. So I am honestly not sure what situation would call for a battle belt. |

I don't. I've always wanted to set one up. I finally got a plate carrier and plates and that was a long time coming.
Right now, I'd be carrying my handgun in a holster on an Ares Aegis belt with a couple of reloads and maybe another AR mag in a carrier. And I'm talking blue jeans. I don't have any battle pants or whatever the fuck people use. I guess that's next is to get an "outfit" together with the proper apparel. (sigh) It's only money, right? |

I don't like having all that stuff on a plate carrier, so a belt shoulders some of the load.
Such as spare pistol mags. Beside the three rifle mags right up front. (Don't want pouches on pouches to be able to go as low as possible prone) The pistol mags go off to the side somewhere and become very awkward to get to. |

absolutely, I started with a HSGI suregrip. the belt stayed in place decently but would eventually ride up. I sold the belt and went with an inner/outer setup.
I bought mine from blue alpha gear. very high quality and great CS. I wear mine every range trip if im shooting the pistol I have holstered or not. I have a kt mech holster with a glock 19 and x300u two hsgi pistol tacos one hsgi rifle taco and an ifak I run my pc with 4 hsgi rifle tacos. anything else and it gets real heavy real quick but I may add one more rifle mag. |
