Reason I ask is I guess my ex and 23 year old daughter got into some fisticuffs and CPS was called due to the condition of her house. The daughter called, there is a minor step child in the house from her last marriage.
I avoid all of this drama by not getting drunk with my adult children. |

I am not a degenerate POS, so I don't get drunk. The last time I got drunk was at a 1-33AR BN Dining In, around 1982.

My kids are young
Sometimes I drink with my parents at a dinner party to the point my wife has to drive But not like sloppy shots, and chugging beer and puking I got decently drunk on the golf course with my BIL and FIL this year though ETA: admittedly I didn’t read the OP before posting. No, we don’t act like that |

i dont drink any more but just thinking about makes me uncomfortable. back when i used to drink i never even drank in front of my parents because it just felt weird.

I've got tuned up with my parents a handful of times.
We were all having a great time and the drinks kept flowing. They don't drink much typically, and they weren't hammered drunk slamming drinks It's always a fun time, no fisticuffs |

My oldest son and I had dinner out tonight.
We enjoyed a few smoked old fashioneds together. |

I'm not yet a dad, but I do on occasion get drunk with my dad. Mostly while at hunting camp or during family celebrations. So far we have yet to have the cops called on us. I'm currently 32, but started drinking with dad regularly when I went off to college. For the nanny staters, it's legal to drink underage in Texas with a parent present. We've had a lot of fun times together while drinking.

Oh yeah... First the shots, then we air our grievances, followed by feats of strength. It usually breaks down to a little GFT of the living room floor. Thats just week nights, weekends are out of control. I have a year or two to think about it, will try to avoid above behavior

Well, know...but I have drinks with my 23 and 25-year-old adult children.

I don't have adult children. I've gotten a bit lit with my parents though. Mostly when they'd come visit me in college. All in good fun. No drama at all.

My Dad and I did (as adults), but we are civilized, and just got silly and there were topic boundaries. He enjoyed terrible quality gin.
What killed him was perfectly halal smoking. |

Drunk and fighting with you parents or kids. Some people might consider that a sign.

I’ll drink with my dad (I’m 35) but I try to avoid getting full on drunk at all anymore.

No..I don't "socialize" with my kids, my son comes over and works on his car, we talk, we have a coke, he goes to hang out with his friends. my daughter doesn't drink and doesn't have much time for parents.

No. My oldest is 12 and my youngest 11. Both of them are mean drunks

I’ve gotten drunk with my adult children, but we all act like adults and there’s no drama.

No. We take them out on their 21'st and buy them their first legal drink, but we just don't tend to drink at family gatherings. Family time, not bar time.

I will let you know in about 10 years.
One thing is for sure; they will definitely be making beer runs. |

My son's and I have tipped a few beers together in the shop.
I wouldn't call it drunkenness, though. |

I think it will be fun some day. I don't see any fistfights happening. I've drank around my parents (and step parents) and cousins at theres never been a fight. A lot of fun stupid arguments but no fights.

I don't have adult kids. Don't think I've ever gotten drunk with my parents, one party always ends up having to drive.

Drinking with my 23 year old daughter right now. She had back to school night last night and got good feedback from parents and administrators. We're celebrating.

How drunk are we talking?
2-3 glasses of beer/wine or a strong cocktail and would not drive voluntarily while we all veg out in the family room watching a horrible Hallmark original movie my dad picks, or so wasted no one can make it up the stairs? The former a few times a year, the latter never. Kharn |

I have never seen my parents tipsy. While it might be fun, it would undo many lessons of self control that they failed to instill in me.

The most I have had with my boys was less than a beer. We have a good time together without the influence.
|
|
My children are still small, but I do drunk a lot with my dad.
|
|
I haven't been drunk in over 30 years. I do not think my 34 year old son has ever been drunk. Alcohol is not a big part of who we are or what we do.
