In a personal sense.
Like 10 years ago I was having lunch in another city by myself. Some random woman with kids on the way to the bathroom told me I had beautiful eyes. I still remember that to this day. Yea I get compliments at work and stuff, but personally it’s pretty rare. |

Quoted: Nope. I believe your experience is typical, for men. View Quote I was thinking about that today. Breadwinner for the household a few times over. Provide for my close and extended family, ext. I can’t remember being given a compliment. Hence that rando woman’s one popping up every now and then. |

All the time. Eyes, smile, hair, etc.

Sometimes my hair if I let it get curly. |

The most common one I get is people think I look much younger than a guy in his late 50's.
I tend to agree but I'm waiting for the day the biological switch flips in my body and I age 15 years in just a few months. |
|
Self employed many years so no boss to give me an atta boy. I never needed them so I don't miss it.
I've never in my life had a woman compliment my looks and quite frankly I wouldn't know what to do if one did. I made peace with what I am early on in life. |
|
Nope. I was also told women would hit on me more when I got married. That hasn’t happened at all.
Buddy gets hot on all the time in public. Especially when he’s with his wife. |
|
I complemented a guy’s eyes yesterday.
Of course at six months old he probably didn’t understand what I said. |
|
Not since I quit roofing and aged 20 years. It beats the alternative though.

I've been told a couple of times that I smile with my eyes.
Not sure what that means but I always figured it was a short polite way of saying "you are one seriously ugly fucker but at least your eyes don't make me want to puke". So yeah, I guess that's a compliment. |
|
Wife compliments me pretty often, so that's nice.
Other people? lol nah. Last time that happened was 25 years ago, girl in high school told me I had a great ass. That's it. I don't think my wife is blind. |
|
I do, but I’m also in and out of offices with lots of women every day. I think people should do it more often, doesn’t take much effort and makes people feel good. You can change someone’s entire day with a well timed compliment

My wife and I get compliments on how well behaved our boys are. Pretty proud of that.
My wife gets compliments about her smile. I consider it a compliment when I compliment a co-worker, and they don’t believe me, because I’m usually too “honest” for most of them and their weak feelings. |

Constantly.. it’s an embarrassment of riches.
If not for my almost superhuman level of humility, it might be a problem. |

|
Compliments? Hell, I'm lucky if people don't throw rotten tomatoes or dog shit at me.
|
|
I get "you smell good" compliments from random people a lot. Otherwise I get zero.

If you saw a pic of just her eyes like that, you'd know that she's smiling. It's 100% a compliment, at least for her. For me, sometimes people will say that I look younger than I am. Most of the other compliments that I've gotten were on how I treat people, how I keep trying to do stuff with my disability and after my wife died, and how I raised my son. |

I get compliments from women often enough that I can remember every single one.

I was blessed with extremely green eyes..so I do get compliments time to time

If someone compliments my clothes my knee jerk reaction is they are being sarcastic.
I have a very deep voice and I enunciate. I get compliments on my voice. I get thanked for acts of kindness or listening to people. That’s kind of a compliment to me Looks? No |

Yes.
From strangers? Eyes, smile, car mostly. EDIT: I give complements too, especially towards actions / choices vs looks. |

|
No never do.
The closest I have come to recieving compliments is the wife being told by her other female coworkers that I am hot because I am a rugged manly man. But never do I recieve any compliments directly. |
|
I’ve been told by several women that I have the softest hands they’ve ever felt.
