ACU works good in the snow and in some urban areas. |

We were issued Subdued urban digital camo for a bit at work, it worked surprisingly well on blacktop during drills, it's basically "UCP black"

Type of camo rarely makes much difference when hunting, it's your movement that will give you away. Snow camo often works best in a treestand because you're silhouetted against the sky.

Subdued Urban worked well in an indoor paintball venue here that was dark and dirty. Can't think of many real world applications, though.

OD or feldgrau are fine.
The camo from the film children of men is interesting but they probably used a filter on the camera for those scenes. Making the camo appear more effective. |

I knew a LT Plissken, served with Special Forces unit Black Light flew a gullfire over Leningrad, who swears by urban camo especially the pants.

I actually thought ACU worked just for the wrong reasons. It’s a lighter color and when unwashed tended to take on whatever the average color of dirt/mud is predominant in the area.
