I ordered this thing online because it was a really good deal.

It shows up and the zipper is on the wrong side.

I never wore a leather jacket before, so I don’t know. Is this a women’s cut?

Our sportsmen's club got hooded sweat jackets several years ago with left sided zippers. Supposedly in Canada men's zippers are on the left.

Euro jacket?

My Alpinestars motorcycle jacket is left hand zippered as well as a wind breaker I bought in Spain. Both are definitely men's jackets.

The only noticeable difference is women's shirts, the buttons are on the wrong side on those I think.  Looks like a decent jacket.  No one will care as long as it is not pink.  :)

Thanks for the tips, boys. I was a little worried.

In asia and europe the zippers are on the wrong side.

Isnt it a status thing? Like zippers and buttons are on that side because they would have servants dress them?

Yep.  Also I’ve had Parkas with a zipper on the other side

Pretty much this.
Back in the day men (regardless of class) usually dressed themselves while upper class women were assisted by servants.  Womens clothes were also much more complicated and things like corsets and such required help fastening in the back, plus it was a status thing.
Since most people are right handed it was easiest for servants to do this with buttons and zippers (once those became a thing) were on the other side. Only reason for this now is tradition in manufacturing it simply became a thing over the years.
There is obviously no functional difference and most people will never notice unless they are "into clothing" or in the business. I have a mens tweed waistcoat (aka vest) that buttons opposite. I've seen a couple of odd mens clothing items that were opposite but definitely mens clothing item. Uncommon but occasionally turn up.

Regardless of zipper side, it doesn't look like a women's jacket, at least to me.  All my wife's jackets have fairly well defined waists and cut looser on top for boobs.

Do you feel like a woman wearing it?

IF

1) Yes. We have to have a long talk.

2) No. No problem.

European jackets are like that. My Rev'It motorcycle jacket has the zippers reversed. You get used to it after awhile.

I have an Aimpoint fleece that has the zipper on the left side.
It's normal in European clothing. But being right handed, i find it awkward, and I still get the nagging feeling it's 'girly'.
But it's warm...

So he should or shouldn't return it at this point?
