I don't know anything about this upper. My local gunstore emailed also with the same price. I've seen posts on Twitter also [shrug] |

At that price, I’d just spend a bit more for their 10.3 and call it a day. They make good shit but they’re very proud of it

Always check Eurooptic for DD complete rifles or uppers. Their prices usually cannot be beat.

That's not a bad deal for all the stuff that's included.

Doesn't look like any contract overrun I'm familiar with. Is this the unofficial MK18 Mod3 or whatever?

I started to question why anyone would pay that much for an upper. Then I began to recall what I spent for my 11.5”.
I have an upper with a BCM 11.5”. If memory serves I paid around $250 for that barrel about ten years ago. Then I bought a Spike’s quad rail for another $250. BCG was $100. My guess is I paid $50 for a stripped upper and perhaps $10 for port door/hinge/spring. I think the charging handle was $60. And then finally $80 for the QD FH for my can. I’m not a math major but that’s a tad less than $300 shy of that DD upper. My 11.5” upper isn’t anything special in my eyes. Functional? Absolutely. But that DD upper doesn’t seem so outrageously priced to me. |

It's an odd configuration for a "contract overrun," though. |

I’m not gonna lie, I actually really like that. Something about SBRs with front sights just do it for me.
Is it a couple hundred more than you can build one for? Sure, but it’s a factory built upper and love em or hate em, nobody can deny DD quality, especially the barrels. I need another upper like I need a hole in the head but I might FO for this and sell another upper to justify it. |

Not a RIS III rail, does not look like the MLOK rail I have on a 11.5” upper from DD, not sure what overrun
That is not a standard DD MLOK rail, does not have the shovel nose bottom? In fact, I don’t see that DD4 7.0 listed on their website I bought my DD MK18 upper, no BCG, from Brownells a few years back for $700. When you look at what you are getting, that $1100 price is not bad, based on todays pricing. I do like that MLOK rail without the shovel nose look…price also include the DD rear BUIS, not bad. The DD rear BUIS is very well made |
