So what about the Drow (Dark or Grey Elves)? The “ones who went below” are considered evil at least in the first 3 game revisions? They are very dark skinned, white haired and generally chaotic evil or neutral evil.
The Underdark (also a concept borrowed from Norse mythology in 3-4) is said to further inhabited by Dökkálfar (true black elves) who worship pure evil stone and even the Svartálfar “The Grey Ones” which are evil dwarves. Where do these inhabitants fall? Plus what earthly race is represented by the Ljósálfar - 'light elves' (or good elves) who are surface dwelling in Álfheim and worship the Vanic deity Freyr? I mean if they have it all worked out that Orks are the non-Caucasian race of Feyrûn great but what about the entire story arc of King Obould I of the Many-Arrows uniting the tribes of mountain Orks? While it was a violent start they established a very modern kingdom. Does all this itself not presuppose that the vast majority of Grey Orks are just being lumped into a group with Mountain Orks or even Orogs? Hardly fair at all! Grey Orks are mostly nomadic and much more peaceful of the Orks that came through the Imaskari portals. Ask anyone on Toril they will tell you that if you see an Orog watch out because even Mountain Orks fear them. |
