Hey guys, looking for books on the crusades. Story books/ historical fiction without going into the fantasy realm ideally.  Big fan of Steven pressfield and the way he wrote the Gates of fire, etc.
    Looking for something with the " kingdom of heaven" movie feel.  Hopefully, much closer to real as possible.

I just finished "God's Wolf"  I highly recommend it.

"In Distant Lands" was okay as well.

read this one a few weeks ago, was OK, I like it once it got started, seems its the first of a series

I read a 3 book series a couple years ago, Brethren, Crusades and The Fall of the Templars.  They were historical fiction books set in the time of the last Crusade and the final decades of the Knights Templar as a fighting force.  Good reads.
