The assumption is that you are living in a low / no crime place... Dropping off kids to school is within 3 miles, close to zero chances to run into troubles. In most states you are not allowed to carry on school grounds - other than that you are working from home and there is not much driving going on other than the occasional stop at the convenient store or grocery place. Did this change your carrying behavior ?

I always have something on me. If I’m making a quick trip to the store, I throw my no dash model 60 in my vest pocket. That’s if I’m wearing workout/jogging pants. If I’m wearing jeans, my P365XL goes on.
There was a time just a few years ago that I was lazy and wouldn’t carry a lot of the time. With all the crazies out there, that changed. I don’t go anywhere unarmed. I’d never carry on school grounds. That’s illegal. ETA: Even at home, something is even on me or I’m very very close to something. My boss doesn’t want us carrying unless we have written permission from our owner and VP. Fuck that noise. I carry at work anyways. |

2020 did not relax my carry level,
I'm not sure how much attention you paid to the last 12 months or so, but, carry when you expect trouble is not the message I have taken from the last year. I don't necessarily carry in the shower but I have guns all over the house. I don't answer my door unarmed I'm sitting at my desk in my office at work and I'm armed right now. Ultimately you have to define your own comfort level. |

It really depends where I'm going when I leave my home.
Sometimes I will carry only my rape whistle but other times I will also carry my keys in my hands so I can poke an attacker . The whistle I wear around my neck so I don't conceal that but the keys I try to be discreet about . |

My car is an extension of my home. If I'm going to a school, then I'll leave my gun "at home". Otherwise, if I'm outside my house I've always got something on my belt. The only time I don't have a gun strapped to my waist is if I'm actually at home, probably because I've had a drink or two and I trust my GSD to alert me to anyone sneaking around outside.

Don't piss off old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

I wear my seat belt even if I'm just driving down the block, and I carry a handgun if I'm wearing clothes.

Everywhere it's legal.

If I can legally carry then it's on me

I don't carry while I'm in the house but it's close to hand. When I go out, it's a simple thing to clip it to my belt.

I carry everywhere. Unless there's a metal detector, I go there.
I don't actually have a CPL anymore, and I have carried in other states without one. And miraculously I'm not in prison. ![]() But a shower gun? Ridiculous. THAT should be illegal... ![]() |

I do not gad about unarmed
I work in a hospital that unfortunately has legally binding "30-06" signs at the doors. I have written permission from administration to carry in the hospital anyway. |

This is a .357 magnum. Its not THE most powerful handgun in the world but, it will STILL blow a big ass hole in your head.

Always on me but not in the shower.

I don't see signs. I don't pay attention to signs. What sign? What gun?
If the SCrOTUS let an election be stolen I'm not giving a single fuck about any draconian law that takes safety from my hands and places it into a government entity. They can all get fucked. |

I don't go to schools anymore since my kids are grown and gone.
I believe it's legal in VA to carry if you don't get out of the car or go in a building. |

We don't come alone; we are fire, we are stone.

Do a lot of states not allow being armed during drop off/pick up? SC protects carrying on school property as long as you are in your vehicle. If you have to go in the school or outside your vehicle you have to disarm.

Here's another Concealed Carry Question: If you have a God-given right to bear arms, and it is recognized in the Second Amendment of the Constitution; why do you need the government's permission to bear a firearm?
