Break it all the way.

Put a bowling ball in it for the next few cycles.

An unbalanced load of tennis shoes and duvets should do the trick!

Or... maybe be more subtle and wash a load with 15 pairs of jeans over and over for a few days?

It is the bearing. It costs about $100 for parts and the removal tool. It isn’t that hard to replace; but takes some skill to do so.  Tell them it sometimes times kicks the electric breaker and you have to manually wiggle the drum to get it to work again.

Are you sure one of the tub suspension springs didn't just pop off the barrel?

Home warranties are a joke. My neighbor had a tarp on his roof for months because they kept dicking him around.

I stopped reading after ‘home warranty’.  We’ll mostly anyways.

I literally didn't know there was such a thing as a "home warranty" ..... sounds like something old people get tricked into buying

You can use your home warranty for a washing machine?

A washing machine isn't part of your home. Just go buy a new one.

Yeah, they sent someone out and he said it is bearings/transmission going...

Home warranty sucks, only reason I have kept it is my AC is getting old!  Saved my ass once before on AC.

Then because they now know there was a problem before, they will deny the claim saying it was a "pre existing problem".

I had them deny a claim on a broken range top because it had the word "Professional" in it.  The contract stated they didn't cover commercial equipment.

This. They exist to take money. They don't exist to fix anything.

I was renting a house before i bought this one and had an AC unit that kept cycling on and off 15-20 times before it would kick over and actually run. The switch wouldn't engage and stay on. So they tried to blow it out like normal for bugs or whatever and that was all. They refused to fix it because it would eventually turn on and told me it wasn't broken enough to come back out for. An old screwdriver tapped up on there melted things real nice and got the components swapped out the way they should have been from the start.

I may have a bunch of cheap guns made by Ruger and S&W with Chinese optics, but I got me a Speedqueen washer and dryer! I don't know how all you other poors get by.

Home warranties suck. They do the minimum repair necessary (and they determine what's necessary), whereas you would do the best repair for your money.

Get your money's worth out of them with time.

Eventually it will be cheaper to finally just fix it than to pay someone to go to your house time after time.

You have to be a bigger nuisance to them than this is to you.
