Would like some recommendations on cigars for the pipe smoker. I typically smoke Hunters Choice from Boswells though I’m not opposed to a good English blend.

To the point I’ve gotten a humidor as a gift and would like some recommendations for a variety of cigars to put in it. I’d smoked some on vacation in Florida that had a sweet wrapper they were a stick being rolled by an individual in a little shop that I couldn’t tell you the name of if my life depended on it. I’d quite like to find some like these to throw in there if you’ve got any ideas. Almost reminded me of the sweetness you got from a Muriel Magnum a old friend smoked but with a higher quality smoke.

Any recommendations would be welcomed from the group though I do suffer from the poors so nothing to extreme price wise. Say a twenty dollar cap prefer the $10-15 range and under. Basically want a variety to try.

Go buy a bunch of samplers from some place. Smoke em, figure out what you like or dont like. Go buy the ones you like.

I'd try cigarbids if you want a cheap way to explore cigar types.

Or go spend some time at your local brick and mortar store.

Have a look at the Drew Estates flavor line. Pick a blend that seems interesting.

I often recommend a Cusano 18. Try a maduro if you can find it.

Report back with your likes and dislikes.

Here is my home humidor.

If you want PM me your info and I’ll send out a few sticks to you after thanksgiving. We can discuss what you liked and didn’t like.

I don’t have any flavored/aromatic cigars like the drew estates.

Mighty fine set up there! Much obliged at the offer. I’ll look at the Cusano 18 I see a Connecticut and a Maduro I’ll give both a whirl.

If you like mildly flavored pipe tobacco you will enjoy ACID flavored cigars.

Look at Swamp Thang cigars. They have Dark Fired tobacco, if I recall, and definitely remind me of a smoky, musty English blend.

I still like Hoyo deMonterey Excalibur Maduro wrappers.

But suck it up and get the Black and Milds.
