Guy’s obviously a hero but it irks the shit out of me how he doesn’t answer very basic questions like “Hey what was your low-vis carry as an operator?” UK must have all their special forces guys nutz in a vice or something because this guy has been years of “can’t talk about it”. Compared to our SF guys that would all be able to answer. I’m not talking secret-squirrel stuff but the edc question in particular. “Glock 19, 2 extra mags, knife, flashlight, ifak, radio, etc” doesn’t seem like too hard of an answer. I understand there seems to be some longterm issue with the UK government pressuring this guy and it lowers my opinion of the UK government (hard to believe that was possible). You’d think they’d want Craighead to tell his story and boost morale. “Yup, he’s ours, we trained him, he’s a badass and a hero and stepped up against overwhelming odds on his own to protect innocent people, we’re proud to call him one of our own, a credit to the men of 22SAS”. |

If i remember correctly, the UK has the "Official Secrets Act", which puts him in criminal jeopardy (not to mention probably his well earned pension) if he talks about it unauthorized. |
