With very few exceptions (vintage Submariners like the 5513), aluminum bezels no longer do it for me.

Ceramic bezel master race!

124060 and 16610 here. Have also owned several other 4/5 digit references.

I am trying to have my ceramic matted.

It’s nice but aluminum patina wins.

I do love the bezel on the Pelagos.

That finish on a sub insert would be epic.

I prefer the look of aluminum.

But…..

Ceramic with Lume is really cool.

And….

It holds up better than aluminum.

Nothing wrong with a little wear.

What about acrylic?

Poll fail

No option for precious metals

I really like gold

Yes I know the bezel on this one is platinum.

I think this is the answer.

For fun I tried an aftermarket ceramic insert in my 16610. It just felt wrong.

I’ll be very honest here.

Had Tudor come out with the design in the 12-12.5mm thick range...

I’d most likely would have quit buying stuff.

I think it’s a fantastic watch and the only tool diver from Rolex / Tudor.

If they release a 39-40mm variant using the much thinner BB58 movement - I’d order the day of release.

You can do nothing to convince me otherwise. Aluminum with wear > pristine ceramic. There's a beauty in a well used tool. I just prefer the 'toolishness' of the aluminum bezel.
