Icahn was / is a successful corporate raider back in the 70s / 80s. Worth about $16b according to recent reports. Has been a hedge fund player for years and still serves on the BOD of many publicly traded companies. Recently met his ex-first wife, totally by accident, when visiting one of our sons in Colorado. She divorced him in the 90's and is reported to only be receiving $1.5m / yr in a settlement. Had two of his kids. Interesting link to story of one of his recent corporate raids:
