Eta: ordered my holster on a Saturday afternoon, the guy emailed me right away, the holster was at my house on Tuesday. He's in VA i believe, I'm in GA. |

My compacts and P-01s don't feel as nice in the hand as my P-07, SP-01, or full sized CZ-75s, but I shoot them better. Tremendous handguns.

I can't believe that as many different guns as I've owned over the years, somehow I have yet to have a CZ of any type in my inventory. I guess I may just have to eventually buy one online, as I just never see them in my local shops. Nor do I see them turn up locally in private sales.

Looking on CGW's site, they want almost another $500 to work their magic. I think I paid $550 for the pistol. It's hard to justify spending that much on my P-01 when it is already a nice gun.

P 01 was the first pistol I bought back in '11.
Finding something I like better that doesn't fill a very specific niche has of yet been unaccomplished. It's an awesome gun. |

I have one and meh, I would take one of my Glocks over it any day. I really should sell it but I have had it for around 10 years at this point. Lots of complex parts and the painted on finish just seems cheap. All the internal tooling marks leave a lot to be desired also.

After reading this thread I'm slightly wishing I'd went P01 as opposed to 75b compact but I'm still happy.
I doubt I'd use the rail as it is a carry piece but the safety on my compact is a little too easily manipulated for my liking so I carry hammer down. That makes a decocker a bit more attractive although it's not a big deal. When I settle on a holster for this thing I may change my mind on that. |

They're one of the best looking pistols IMO, 'cept for the slight slide overbite. How well do they carry with the beavertail and weight compared to say a G19? It's a pistol I've been putting off buying for 10+ years and now the prices shot up since they got popular . Been considering a DA/SA for AIWB carry.

Quoted: Once you hold one, theres no going back Except for the RAMI. Wasnt a fan. View Quote I've had other CZ pistols over the years, but never really give a thought about a 75 before, other than being turned off by the phillips head screws used to hold the grips on. I was in the local shop a few weeks back picking up something else, when I spied a 75D compact in the case. I held it for all of 3 seconds before I decided I was walking out the door with it. |

My favorite pistol in my collection. I have regular 16 round CZ-75 mags with a plastic spacer/base that takes up the gap. Its 2 extra rounds when needed. The price went up on these. They were around $30 when I bought them from Greg Cotell's website.

Own both, like both, have carried both AIWB. |

Quoted: I have the Custom Shop version, the SDP. Shoots like a dream. To the poster that had the trigger change on him: something is wrong there. Triggers should NEVER change, certainly not into "mashed potato's". View Quote That’s my carry gun. I’ve been running a Shadow 2 in Carry Optics and immediately switching to a Glock 19 was really throwing me off. The final straw was after the White Settlement shooting I was thinking, “If I had to make that shot with my G19, would I be able to just present and do it after hammering out thousands of rounds on my USPSA gun?” The answer was “probably not”. Went to the SDP and the ergos and trigger are similar enough it’s now a non-issue. |
