Don Julio has almost doubled in price and in my area costs much more than Patron. What gives?

Don Julio.
I was detained in SLC customs while my wife stood and shook her head at me after flying in from MX with 20+ bottles in a suitcase.

I've always been of the opinion that blanco is mixing tequila and that anejo and reposado are sipping tequilas. Ergo I never went top, top shelf. For me Patron was my favorite but Sauza Blue was pretty damn good.

Look for some Siete Leguas blanco.
Patron is over priced.
