Do you stay home? Go to a coffee shop?

Home usually, but if I'm already at a coffee shop, then there too.  Anywhere else I have a few spare minutes.

I do tend to reserve non fiction for home reading where I do not need to worry so much about my surroundings.

I honestly prefer reading in the dark

I use a kindle with light or a book with book light

I don’t know why but I feel like I comprehend better and I get more into the story

I usually use a kindle with a built in light but if I’m reading a real book I have just been using a cheap replaceable watch battery one from Walmart, it’s not ideal but it works

Only time I have to read is on the shitter or when I'm on the stair machine at the gym.  Any "free" time I have otherwise is spent writing.  I like audio books nowadays because I can listen while I'm driving.

I always have my Kindle with me.  I read during my lunch break, on the elliptical at the gym and before I go to bed to help me wind down and relax.

Interesting. I actually expected coffee shops or cafes. Guess I'm thinking old fashioned. But my some of my greatest leaps in knowledge have on the shitter but then I have to deal with a numb leg.

The couch.  A book goes with me any place I might have to wait awhile.

I use an original Itty Bitty Book Light. I've probably had it 25 years or so. I still have the original box that looks like a book.

OP - I usually only read at home or at the office when I'm alone.

I like to lay on my stomach on the ground with a pillow under my chest and read when I have the time. I spend most of my time writing nowadays as well though.

I used to read during breaks and lunch at work.
I've been off work for medical reasons so I ride my old man scooter to the cemetery and read in the corner of the parking lot at night. Amazing how busy the cemetery parking lot is at night.
Also go th the 7-11 a mile, away, buy an ice cream sandwich, and read in the park across the street. Small town so very peaceful.

Laying on my left side in bed before I go to sleep, with my tablet resting on a pillow and my right thumb in position to flip the pages.

When it hits me in the face, it's time to go to sleep

Only problem is that as I fall asleep sometimes my thumb taps the screen a few times and I lose my place.

I've been reading as I fall asleep for about 8 years now. I burn through books in a hurry.

2nd favorite place is the highest lounge on a cruise ship.

When taking walks.

Also when performing mundane tasks at work.

I’m shocked to see that I am the only person who prefers the library. It may be because I will get OCD at home (computer, tv), but I always prefer reading there. Nothing interrupts me.

I used to read actual books a lot years ago. Because of my job I’m in my company car most of the day. 100% audio books. No radio, cd,etc. When I’m doing chores around the house I have my earbuds in or noise cancelling headphones and listening to an audio book

Agree about the head. Too many distractions at a cafe or coffee shop.

I’m sitting in my library now. When my oldest got married, I repurposed her bedroom.  Comfortable chair and lighting, some beverages, and no electronics. It’s a quiet room.

Still have plenty of bookcases elsewhere in the house, though.

I would like the library if people respected it and tried to be quiet. For me it's a torture chamber.

Your point is exact. I stopped going years ago. Even tossed my Library card.

This. The beach by myself is also a great place.

ETA: Funny, I quoted myself without realizing it.
