I just looked it up - I never read the last 2 of the sequel books: Heretic and Savior also haven't read the last 2 in the RCN series I thought he kind of mailed it in for Sea Without a Shore and Road of Danger and I stopped looking for the next books |

Nobody mentioned Lon Nolan of the Dirigent Mercenary Corps? He was elected general twice, only man to do it. I think he might have given John Christian a run for his money.
Alois Hammer was never a general, Colonel only, though many colonels never fielded the firepower like that of The Regiment. |
