Mira Furlan (1955–2021), actress in “Babylon 5,” “Lost”
I always thought Babylon 5 was maybe the only sci fi series that came close to the quality of the first two seasons of the original Star Trek. More The cause of death is unknown to the public, however in his post Straczynski wrote that the cast and crew of Babylon 5 had “known for some time now that Mira’s health was fading.” View Quote |

No longer does she stand between the light and the darkness.., |

Man that's sad, Babylon 5 was the first scifi show I got into as a kid.

Nuts to that... B5 is one of my all-time favorite shows. Top three for sure. Rest easy Delenn.

Quoted: RIP Excellent show. Now there's only 4 left. View Quote That sucks. RIP. I was scrolling though the cast on IMDB trying to figure out who the 4 you're talking about are and it reminds me of the scene where Vir apologized to G'kar about the war between the Centauri and Narn...dead, dead, dead, dead.... |

Loved the character, Delenn but I wasn't a huge fan of the actress.
Downright freaky how many Babylon 5 cast members have passed away. Steven Biggs and Michael O'Hare had well known health issues, but... Wow. |

B5 was my favorite sci-fi series. The cast has had a rough run lately.
Met Patricia Tallman once. Super nice in person. Loved her voice. |

Any chance of Babylon 5 getting released on high def? Everything I've read indicates not.

Quoted: Any chance of Babylon 5 getting released on high def? Everything I've read indicates not. View Quote That may not be a good thing. When you go back and look at how bad the early seasons' CGI is, I'm not sure you want to visit that in high def. Leave the fuzzy edges to allow for the fact you were watching this show on maybe a 32" TV when it came out, not a 75" HDTV45678K ultra def thing. You're going to see things that weren't really part of the show, and you'll start to see things that will distract from the story because you couldn't see them before. |

One of my favorite shows of all time, full stop...if there's an episode on whatever TV channel I happen to scroll past, even if the world's ending outside, I'm stopping and watching the rest of that episode. |

Great show. Everyone who enjoyed it should read the OG space opera stories / novels B5 was based on, The Lensman Series.

View Quote Failed To Load Title Fans have been using AI interpolation to clean up some important scenes as well, live action looks great but it doesn't do much good for the low res space combat. The original computer models are long lost so it would be quite a chore to redo them. Only Star Trek TOS and TNG have had the fan base to justify an effects update, and I've heard they were unprofitable. Fan made Severed Dreams 4K upscale: Failed To Load Title |

I need to watch B5 at some point. Never got around to it. I don't know why I didn't watch it when it first aired. It's probably exactly what I would have liked at the time.
