That's the scene that ruined the movie for me.

Clowns and mimes are natural enemies and would never work together like that.  See the historical documentary "Shakes the Clown" for reference.

Best Bruce Wayne without a doubt.

Ben Affleck: too awful to even mention

IMHO, Julie Newmar’s Catwoman is the HOTTEST TV female of the 60’s … maybe ever.

I think it did so well because everyone knew the campy "POW" "BIFF" crap from the TV show (which I liked as a kid) and this was Batman as he should be.

The Schumacher "bright colors" and lots of stupid dialogue bullshit they did to the later ones along with some shitty writing took it right back to campy.  Nolan brought it back to a better Batman.

I've always said Michael Keaton was the best Batman.  Just something about the lines and the way he said them and the expressions on his face as Bruce Wayne.

My favorite Batman movie.

I liked Keaton as Batman. I think the Batman Returns is also good because it doesn't have the Joker and it has Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman.

Danny Devito was an excellent Penguin................had they costumed him more like Burgess Meredith and less like a mutant, he would have been even better

The 1989 version was awesome, and came out when I was a kid so it does hold a special place in my little kid psyche.

But the Dark Knight Trilogy was also awesome.  They are different enough to me that they can be viewed as equals.

In a similar vein, the Jokers in the original, Dark Knight, and the stand alone Joker were all excellent, and all different.

As long as we can all agree that George Clooney and Ben Affleck were both terrible as Batman.

Yeah, it’s like it wanted to bring us 1980s Dark Knight but not let go of campy 1960s TV show Batman.

"That DC smell"

For someone who never was into the DC comic universe l've seen all the Batman movies.

The Christian Bale movies are my favorites with Heath Ledger being the best Joker.

Keaton has that look in his eyes. You see a gentleman on the outside, but just know there is some seriously fucked-up darkness on the inside.

Prefect for Bruce Wayne/Batman.

The 1989 version was a product of its time. I don't find that it's aged well. It was less campy than the TV series, but it was still high camp. By far, the best Joker was Heath.

Worst Batman ever....Batman and Robin (1949)
No utility belt
"Batmobile" was the same 1949 Merc used by Bruce Wain

I was just at Wallyworld and they had all the batman cars and tiny figures from the TV version to the DC latest.   The best looking one was the old school TV car.  No Dark Knight figures from the Nolan series.

I just watched it for the first time in years.

It holds up very well. I agree that it's probably the best. Keaton plays the slightly awkward billionaire perfectly. Plus, it has the best Batmobile

Those movies were too awful to contemplate.

Clooney could have been bad ass (think of the first third of From Dusk ‘til Dawn), but the script was utter shit.  Then he got old.

Kilmer mailed it in.

If there are nipples on the bat suit, the movie is disqualified.
