I have a new 55 gallon tank that is just finishing cycling and I am trying to decide what I want to stock it with.
I think that I have pretty much settled on doing a TB only tank with a mix of green, blue, albino, platinum and strawberry TBs. Likely will have a large school of 25 fish. Just wondering if there is anyone here who keeps TBs and if so, would love any insight and feedback you have. I have watched damn near every YT video I can find, but just want to make sure that I'm going to be happy with my choice. |

We have them. Little pricks. But look great as they school and are colorful.
They'll chase just about anything and nip at their fins and end up killing them. Need to stock with another fast fish that can get away. Danios (spelling) are great. Also school, fast, and live a long time. |

Sounds good to me. They will even harass each other to death in groups smaller than 8 or so. Something like a firemouth would work as a center piece fish for the tank. They usually leave big fish alone. I had a fifty gallon tank with 10 tiger barbs a firemouth and a rubber nose pleco and it was the most fun to watch tank I ever set up.

They are the Belgian malinois of the fish world. Kept them a long time years ago. Put them in a big pack and they’ll generally keep amongst themselves. A target fish or 3 don’t hurt either for them to focus their interest on.
