I've got what I believe to be a set of Cessna 182 wheel pants and wing tips, but I'm not 100% sure.  I'm trying to sell these for my mother and I'm not sure what their value might be or what parts they are.   I think my fathers plane was a 70/80s airframe if that makes a difference.  Any help is appreciated!Attachment Attached File

Not an expert but I don't think you can sell them (or nobody can buy them) without FAA inspection tags.

A guy here got busted for it a couple years ago.

Looks more like 60's vintage, spring steel strut.

I'll have to check for any part numbers and I hope they aren't illegal to sell.  Maybe I should take them for a Missouri boat ride.

They aren't life limited so you don't need to certify them. Just list "As is" and state that installer is responsible for determining application and airworthiness. I'd try listing them in Trade-a-plane or Barnstormers. Also you may try a Cessna Owners forum. Don't expect much for the wingtips not sure on demand for wheel pants. Those pointed ones date back to 60's.

Thanks for the information, got a guy on CL willing to buy them so I'll probably just do that.

A hot rodder may buy them.  No need to classify them as aircraft parts.

$300 +- to sell...not illegal at all. It is the responsibility of the installer to certify and accept that they are acceptable for the intended application....eBay, barnstormers, or fb marketplace would be a great place to start.
