Something about this story doesn't make sense. My son had a T-rex version of this costume and the fan sucks air into the costume to keep it inflated. If it was sucking out at a high rate it would be like a vacuum sealer rather than an inflatable. Now that positive air pressure may be blowing virus out of the seams but it doesn't have an exhalation valve that would concentrate it to my knowledge.

No, if it were made of filter material, it wouldn’t inflate at all.
