My Mavic Air has some obstacle avoidance and motion tracking, but nothing on the level of what this Skydio 2 appears to be able to do.
Introducing Skydio 2 SKYDIO 2 Obstacle Avoidance Ultimate Test, A Thing Of Magic ! |

@cj3waker
This is the type of drone you need for your shooting videos! |
Pretty awesome. What is the street price on something like that?
Neat. It's interesting to see the technology evolve.
But, with the ever growing restrictions on usage, Drone Derangement Syndrome, and so forth, it's hard for me to get amped up about shelling out money on a new drone. |

Dang. That’s pretty cool. I’ve been a bit fascinated with drones and know a couple of people with them. After seeing this, now I sorta want one.
And their website says it's made in America.
If I didn't already have a Magic 2 Pro. I will definitely look into this one. |

Website show $1000. So, similar to Mavic. Skydio is made in the US though. That means you're not sending unknown data back to China. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

You saying I can’t RPG down my neighbors drone delivered Amazon package? Damn it!

Damn these things look awesome.
I want one big time. Being American made really does it for me as well. So fucking tired of seeing made in China, designed in USA on high end electronics. Those days need to end. |
That's impressive videography from a drone. They're getting the tech ready so they can track you, even when you don't want to be followed!

Pretty awesome. What is the street price on something like that? I've only seen one person on youtube that appears to actually have one. I'll have to wait until it gets in the hands of some drone reviewers. It seems like an pretty good action drone but no clue how it'll do as a flyer/photo drone I still haven't been able to find out why they put the front props on the bottom and how does the affect things. The battery is also held on with magnets and no landing feet. I want to buy American made but for the price. I'll need to see a lot more reviews I will say the warranty they're providing is dang good. |

At least you didn't lug your drone for 80 miles of hiking and have no viewable footage to show for it. |

Add another $150 for the remote and $150 for the beacon also I've only seen one person on youtube that appears to actually have one. View Quote Looking at it, I think they went with two props up and two props down specifically to mount their wide angle cameras for the collision avoidance. I figure you need to spend $1500 to start off. That's $1k for the drone, $150 each for the remote and beacon and two spare batteries for $100 each. That should provide roughly an hour of flying time. With USB-C charging on the batteries, I'm thinking some cheaper power banks might let you recharge them while you fly and extend fly time a little cheaper than buying more $100 batteries. I agree, this seems to be a great action drone, but maybe not the best choice for general videography. |

Looks like the Mavic Mini is actually real
https://dronedj.com/2019/10/08/dji-mavic-mini-confirmed-fcc-database-filing/ If the weight is under 250 that doesn't require registering may get DJI in the hands of many consumers looking for a drone depending on the price |

Human soldiers will be obsolete in 50 years.
If you had a 1000 of those flying with flir's and multiuse energy type weapon and its all over. |
I don't think we need energy weapons to make drones useful.
More flight time is the big issue. |
Wow! The technology has come such a long way so quickly! Thanks for the video OP.
Dang, that's pretty cool. I want one of those. Then it would force me to do epic things so I can take epic videos. Then there would be an epic video of me epically failing.
. . . . . . maybe I don't want one. |
