was just on buddy spike caucus, got 5 kills almost got 6, got in behind 2 harriers without them knowing but forgot to warm up my magics, had to go radar on to lock, by the time i got lock, fired and turned off the reasr guy, the lead had gotten an angle to shoot me down |

I'm getting the hang of the 18. I've gone through all of the training missions except the carrier landing...not ready for that yet.
but im getting the hang of the systems, setting up weapons, the EW page and whatnot. I'm at the point im starting to create my own missions dropping a few aircraft in to practice using the radar in the different modes and some A/G stuff. I can also find/navigate to an airstrip and land! this is pretty nifty so far. |

PVP is another dimension though.
With one good man playing as Magic/Overlord (AWACS) on SRS it gives you a sense of immersion that is hard to beat. And defeating a human in air combat is just something else then shooting down an AI.. When you outbrain him either in BVR or ACM, it's really satisfactory. |

You guys aren't sellin the online experience
I used to play Aeroquake way back when Aces High was a thing and it got old pretty fast, even though I was fairly good. PVE sounds a bit better. My main issue is comms as I have to be quiet as my game time is limited to when my son is sleeping right above my man cave. |

I think the community needs to settle on one comms platform though.
Right now we have: SRS Teamspeak Discord Hoggit And thats just the ones off the top of my head. ED needs to incorporate (I think SRS) into the next release. That way everyone is on the same type of comms. Change the radios, have it update to SRS and done! |

It's how I figure out what they plan is with my friends, what we're playing, what server, etc. SRS seems great, but it needs to be rolled into DCS itself sot hat everyone has it, and it needs better PR/instructions. I installed it, but no clue if it works since half the servers don't use it, most people don;t use it, and no one I fly with has ever used it. |

I don't know how anyone uses Discord for DCS. Assign button 2 on my throttle for PTT and every button 2 from my joystick to my various panels activates the damn PTT. Absolutely unusable. Server I usually play on uses TS, simple, works, no guesswork if someone is on comms or not. I like SRS but it's kinda like herding cats. |
