Right after the tragedy, I bought into the hype and figured all scary guns would be banned. Needless to say I payed WAY too much for a poverty AR. After looking at the surging prices for ARs on GB, I'm seriously tempted to sell. Anyone else?

Bought an Ar around 2017. Just a neat little PSA tricked out with the stuff I wanted. If I hadn't lost it in a tragic boating accident, I still wouldn't sell it.

No, I did buy a few BCMs but they came from BCM and Rainier Arms at normal prices. Just had to be quick when they came in stock.

Lol, most of my AR’s are way older than Sandy Hook.
You’re an idiot if you are buying ammo or guns right now. Unless you don’t have ammo or guns at this point, then you are an even bigger idiot. Buy NVGs, food, and survival items. |

I sold a Colt for $2800. I didn't buy anything around that time.
My collection has grown since then and I don't plan on selling anything. |
|
[#9]
No. But I did walk into a gunshow with two $400 dollar AKs and walked out with $2500.
Walked into another gunshow with a $300 Mini 14 and walk out with a $1000. |

Ive mentioned this before but I remember a story of a guy on here selling some new in box s&w ar's for like $10k each or something ridiculous right after sandy hook
|
|
[#12]
I'm not selling shit. This time is way different for many reasons. I have no need to buy anything now either because I skipped new cars/trucks and vacations to buy when cheap.

I sold every mag not on my carry belt after Sandy Hook.
I had a bunch of 1st run Gen M3 Pmags that I had before they were commercially available. They were fuckin garbage mags and I was ecstatic to get rid of them. |
|
[#19]
I've had ARs for decades, but I was in a shop a day or two after Newtown picking up a couple stripped lowers. The lowers were expensive for the time (149 per), but I didn't even make it out of the store before I was offered 600 dollars a piece for them.
One is a 16" mid length A2 carbine, and the other is a 16" A3 carbine with removable carry handle, and an A2 stock. Not for sale at any price. |

[#20]
Sure, I’ve sold ammo and guns this panic. I’ve done some upgrading.
|
|
[#21]
I was just getting into hoarding gun shit, so I wasn’t in a position to sell anything. I did overpay for some M&P 9 mags, but that’s it. Placed a bunch of back orders with DSG for mags, at normal price, that eventually shipped when things died down.

I bought a bushmaster xm15 with 20" barrel and a nightforce scope for $1000 days after sandy hook. I sold the scope for $1600 and regret that decision.
|
|
[#24]
I didn't buy anything but I was offered $1800 for a noveske/BCM AR I built the summer before.

My former boss bragged about his gun show score after sandy. A wasr 10 AK for 1300.00 ,include 3 mags and a 100 rounds for that price.
I just smiled and sent him to the tapco website |
|
[#26]
This is basically your 2nd chance to feel justified in purchasing that AR.
If you supplemented it with many more ARs during Trumps term then I guess I would sell it. |
|
[#27]
Never paid to much for one and I could let a few go if It gets really crazy. I have way more than a few
|
|
[#28]
Not sure if it was before or after sandy hook. Probably before. FBHO panic purchased a stag arms upper came out to $600 after theft.
|
|
[#29]
I'm not selling any of my guns, ammo, or magazines.Whatever profit could be made pales in comparison to what could be further restrictions and violations of peoples rights as we go forward.

After sandy hook, Dongs in Tulsa had a SCAR 17 for $30k in their display case.

Sort of. My only AR then was a Stag lefty with bull barrel. I wanted a Stag lefty with regular barrel. Sold bull barrel model on Gunbroker for $2400, then bought a regular model locally for $1200. I originally paid $800 for the bull barrel model, so I still came out way ahead.
Anyway, I sold that regular Stag a few months ago for $1400 just to get it out of my safe. |

I sold an LMT mixmaster AR.
No, after the panics are over there are typically a metric shit-ton of ARs and magazines on the EE...all priced at panic levels, all sitting for months unpurchased. Mostly new accounts trying to pay down the credit card debt accumulated during the panic. There were rednecks with signs in the Walmart parking lot trying to unload 22lr at near-panic prices. I LOL at all of them. |

sold an HK MR762 for almost $9k...I bet that dude has regrets.

After sandy hook I sold my budget dpms oracle upper for $1500 to some goober on gunbroker.

Well, the left is fucking united, with almost an unspoken understanding. The right looks at their potential allies and says fuck that goober, shoulda known better, while belittling those who dont agree. Muh capitalism, muh profit! FUCKING UNIVERSE IS ANSWERING! YOU FUCKERS SHOULD LISTEN! Now I'm out. |

Worst I did was pay 850 for a Ruger AR after Pulse. It was the same price it normally was at the shop I got it at though.
I had been saving for a long time and right before Pulse I had been looking at PSA kits but not really knowing shit about them I waited. That night I watched as all the inventory was cleared out in hours. I think the cheapest they got was about 450ish during salad days. First AR so I'll never sell it. |

[#43]
I have been selling guns and ammo. getting 3x the price on ammo and more than new on guns I don't enjoy. I am slimming down to bare bones.

[#44]
I paid $1000 for a S&W M&P from a gun shop right as the hysteria was at peak. I had just escaped from NYC a couple of months before it happened and was not going to miss out on an AR.
I bought the last normal AR, the only ones left after mine either had green or white skulls all over them and were priced at $2500 a piece. |

People were already overpaying before sand hook. I have one lower I overpaid for and the pick up day was the day of sandy hook.

[#47]
We haven’t reached peak pricing yet. Wait until one of their bills actually makes it to the floor.
