When we bought our house it had a Russound 6 zone system already installed. Problem is the receiver is upstairs and all the zones are downstairs. I wanted my tv hooked to the system since i have in ceiling and in wall speakers (2 speakers per zone, in wall are in the dining room and master bath, outside speakers are mounted under soffit).
I’ve been experimenting and hooked a bluetooth atpX transmitter to both our cable box and dvd player. I put a bluetooth receiver on the Russound receiver and it works. The timing was slightly off but the lip sync feature on our TV fixed it (only had to do lip sync 1 out of 5 delay settings, so not noticible with lip reading, sports, etc).
Now im going to hook up a sub. My transmitter is a dual transmitter, so i should be able to link a second device without any issues.
Any reason why this shouldn't work? I know it will only be for the den (and adjacent kitchen which is also another zone), and not for the other rooms.

Transmitter, cable box and switch (for tv vs cable or dvd, that way we can stream netflix and still get the sound through the speakers). Excuse my wifes fall decorations....
