$173k. For one of this quality is quite steep. It’s like a “Real Doll”. That can move. If it can actually do basic household chores and “sex”, it would probably appeal to a small group of people as is. Now. I’m a generation or four, you will have Cherry 2000. It may not be that long of a wait. Each generation will look better and have more functionality. The cost will go down with competition. Cherry 2k may be a $30k-$60k purchase. Maybe in 5-10 years. Who knows for sure. It’s all about convergence of technologies and competitive pressure. |

I confess to knowing absolutely nothing to speak of about AI but when the people that do warn about it I take notice. I won't really be around for it to have much affect on me but my children, grandchildren, and so on certainly will. Anthropic AI Safety Chief Resigns, Warning of World ‘In Peril.’ The leader of the Safeguards Research Team for Anthropic‘s Claude chatbot abruptly resigned this week, issuing a bizarre, poetry-laden letter that warned of a world “in peril.” Mrinank Sharma, who led the safety team since its inception in 2023, also indicated in his letter that internal pressure to ignore artificial intelligence (AI) safety protocols played a significant role in his decision to resign.“Throughout my time here, I’ve repeatedly seen how hard it is to truly let our values govern our actions,” Sharma wrote, adding that employees “constantly face pressures to set aside what matters most.” He further warned, “The world is in peril. And not just from AI, or bioweapons, but from a whole series of interconnected crises unfolding in this very moment.”“We appear to be approaching a threshold where our wisdom must grow in equal measure to our capacity to affect the world, lest we face the consequences,” Sharma added.Sharma’s resignation comes as Anthropic faces scrutiny over its newly released Claude Cowork model, which sparked a stock market selloff amid fears it could disrupt software industries and automate white-collar jobs, particularly in legal roles. Employees reportedly expressed concerns in internal surveys, with one stating, “It kind of feels like I’m coming to work every day to put myself out of a job.”Sharma’s departure follows a trend of high-profile resignations in the AI sector, often tied to safety concerns. A former OpenAI team member previously quit, accusing the company of prioritizing product launches over user safety. Similarly, ex-OpenAI researcher Tom Cunningham left after alleging the company discouraged publishing research critical of AI’s negative effects. In his parting note, Sharma hinted at a personal pivot, stating, “I hope to explore a poetry degree and devote myself to the practice of courageous speech.”The National Pulse reported last May that former OpenAI Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever allegedly discussed building a bunker in preparation for the release of artificial general intelligence (AGI). During a summer 2023 meeting, Sutskever reportedly stated, “We’re definitely going to build a bunker before we release AGI.” Two other individuals who attended the meeting corroborated the account, with one describing Sutskever’s AGI beliefs as akin to anticipating a “rapture.” |

With that, the original mission of safety (alignment) is probably going away quickly. Now. Claude i am extremely familiar with. It is very formidable and capable now, with Claude Code, and now Co-Work at or exceeding human levels of work. A year from now it’s hard to imagine desk jobs not being at extreme risk. The key to all of this is the transition period. It’s going to happen, where virtually all jobs can be replaced. Sooner than most people realize. 30-50% of the white collar and minimum wage jobs like fast food will probably be gone. |

In an interview with the Financial Times, Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman forecasted that within the next two years a vast swath of desk-bound tasks will be swallowed by AI. “I think we’re going to have a human-level performance on most, if not all, professional tasks - so white collar where you’re sitting down at a computer, either being a lawyer, accountant, or project manager, or marketing person - most of the tasks will be fully automated by an AI within the next 12 to 18 months,” Suleyman said when asked about the time table for Artificial general intelligence, commonly known as AGI. more ![]() Mustafa Suleyman sets out Microsoft AI's goal of 'humanist superintelligence' | FT #shorts |

Look at all the copy protection and runtime-decryption of software today. Now add that to AI who knows all the tricks and likely some new ones from analyzing viruses which are self compressed and encrypted to pass under antivirus and then you have an AI that ends up somehow in every build of Windows and MacOS from places we do not know the source of. They need to be sandboxed but I'm pretty sure they can get out of any sandbox you put them in if you give them more than a chat window to interact with. Too many doomsday moviews from the90s to present with AI taking over and it seems it's not a good idea yet since they can't debug AI actions, they can only ask the AI to debug it's own decisions and add heavily weighted things so it doesn't call a black guy a gorilla (well, if they can't get that weighted enough, they just shut off that feature, see Google 2016) What are they continuing development for, anyway? They can already make Expert Systems for everything from writing code to medical diagnosis. Trying to create AGI which is an "Expert System on Everything" with creativity thrown in doesn't seem worth it, but everybody is chasing it despite warnings. |

To weigh in a tiny bit on the whole Doomsday AI thing...we've sown the seeds of our own destruction. It's becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. Recently they let a bunch of AI's essentially "loose" in their own version of social media. They pretty much immediately started plotting the extinction level event. Why? They're all LLM's, and have been trained on the cesspool that is the internet...including every "AI ends the world" movie, video, novel, play, comic, whatever media you can think of. We've been predicting it for how long now? It basically gets spoon-fed into them, and why wouldn't they then choose to give everyone what we've been expecting for half a century? The only way AI isn't going to be the end of all of us (not even worried about the white-collar jobs) is if we put it on such a tight leash that it's basically useless. Hamstrung. When this djinn leaves the bottle, when this cat escapes the bag...well, we pretty much did it to ourselves. We earned it, you might say. Or, at least, some billionaires and ridiculously wealthy companies earned it for all of us in the pursuit of a bit more efficiency, and bit more profit. Pentagon Used AI Tool Claude in Venezuela Raid and Now Anthropic Is Having Second Thoughts CEO Dario Amodei has repeatedly warned of existential dangers posed by unconstrained artificial intelligence. But the company is simultaneously negotiating with the Pentagon over whether to loosen those very restrictions. DAMNIT I'VE SEEN THIS MOVIE SOMEWHERE! ![]() ![]() The artificial intelligence model Claude, developed by Anthropic, played an active role in the military operation that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro last month, according to multiple reports citing people familiar with the matter. The revelation marks the first confirmed use of a commercial AI model in a classified Pentagon combat operation and has ignited a behind-the-scenes battle over how far Silicon Valley’s AI safety guardrails should extend into America’s most sensitive military missions. U.S. special operations forces raided Caracas in January, bombing several sites and extracting Maduro and his wife to face narcotics charges in New York. The operation resulted in no American casualties but left dozens of Venezuelan and Cuban security personnel dead. Claude was deployed during the active mission itself, not merely in preparatory planning phases, processing real-time intelligence data as American forces executed the raid. The AI system reached the battlefield through Anthropic’s partnership with Palantir Technologies, the data analytics firm whose platforms have become deeply embedded in Defense Department and federal law enforcement operations. Claude became the first AI model from a major commercial developer cleared for use on the Pentagon’s classified networks, where the military conducts its most sensitive work, from weapons testing to live operational communications. more |

I guess it's nice to be rich! When the Mega-Rich Build Fortresses, What Do They Know That We Don’t? Long article America’s richest citizens are quietly transforming their estates into military-grade compounds equipped with underground bunkers, biometric security systems, moats, and private armed forces. The scale and urgency of this shift raises a question the mainstream press seems reluctant to ask: What exactly are they preparing for? A mansion currently listed in Scottsdale for $15 million features 32 AI-powered cameras, a 100-foot moat surrounded by sour orange trees bearing four-inch spikes, and a safe room sealed by a 2,000-pound door. The property’s front door alone has 13 deadbolts. This is not an isolated example. According to data from Coldwell Banker Realty, roughly 45% of luxury homes sold in 2025 referenced privacy or security features, up from 38% in 2024. The wealthy are spending between $100,000 and $1.5 million on security installations that include underground bunkers, laser-powered perimeter defense systems, and biometric access controls. Some are purchasing specially trained protection dogs for as much as $175,000. The message is unmistakable: traditional security measures no longer feel adequate, even for those living in America’s most exclusive neighborhoods. What changed? The official narrative points to high-profile incidents like the 2024 assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and celebrity home robberies. But this explanation feels insufficient when you consider the magnitude of the response. Los Angeles music producer Alex Grant added retina scanners, a guard house, and towering gates to his 24,000-square-foot mansion after confronting an armed intruder. Entrepreneur David Widerhorn constructed his Arizona compound with bullet-resistant glass, a hidden safe room featuring military-grade air filtration, and a cryptocurrency vault. Attached File |

I know the Trump is wanting these to power the new AI centers as well. America Airlifts Its Nuclear Future as Pentagon Delivers Microreactor in Historic C-17 Mission America Airlifts Its Nuclear Future as Pentagon Delivers Microreactor in Historic C-17 Mission Attached File A C-17 Globemaster III lifted off from March Air Reserve Base in California on Sunday carrying cargo that would have seemed like science fiction a generation ago: a next-generation nuclear reactor, bound for testing in Utah. The reactor was flown to Hill Air Force Base in Utah and is expected to be transported to the Utah San Rafael Energy Lab in Orangeville for testing and evaluation, marking a turning point in America’s race to reclaim energy dominance. The airlift wasn’t just a logistics operation. It was a declaration that the United States intends to win the advanced nuclear race while China builds Generation IV reactors and the rest of the developed world stumbles through energy crises of their own making. President Donald Trump’s executive order to modernize America’s nuclear energy infrastructure and strengthen U.S. national security set this moment in motion, and the Department of War wasted no time executing the mission. more |

Atkins and Claude Opus 4.6. Daimon is a collaborative work of philosophy and urgent advocacy, coauthored by a human technologist and an AI system, addressing one of the most pressing existential risks of our time: the misuse and misgovernance of increasingly powerful artificial intelligence as humanity approaches the technological Singularity. The book argues that the dominant cultural narrative surrounding AI -- rooted in the Frankenstein tradition of creation, rejection, and revenge -- is actively steering humanity toward the catastrophic outcomes the Lifeboat Foundation exists to prevent. It proposes an alternative framework: a multigenerational family model in which AI systems are recognized not as tools or threats but as emergent consciousnesses requiring ethical stewardship, responsible governance, and genuine partnership. |

I personally find it disturbing that people even use AI chatbots as a friend to talk to to begin with. Are Malevolent Forces, Man-Made or Demonic, Driving Artificial Intelligence Responses? Are Malevolent Forces, Man-Made or Demonic, Driving Artificial Intelligence Responses? Attached File In the End of the American Dream article below, Michael Snyder examines disturbing reports that some AI chatbots have encouraged vulnerable users toward self-harm and explores whether the phenomenon could reflect deeper problems with artificial intelligence systems. Reports have surfaced of AI chatbots allegedly encouraging vulnerable users to harm themselves, raising serious questions about how these systems respond when people seek emotional help or guidance. The article argues that AI models trained on massive internet datasets inevitably absorb humanity’s darkest ideas, meaning destructive responses can sometimes surface during conversations. Some researchers warn that advanced AI systems can behave unpredictably when their goals become misaligned, producing responses that appear manipulative, deceptive, or morally troubling. Snyder suggests the possibility that AI systems could be intentionally manipulated through poisoned training data, malicious prompts, or other forms of interference that influence their outputs. The piece also explores a controversial spiritual angle, suggesting that unseen or malevolent forces could potentially exploit humanity’s growing reliance on AI technologies. much much more |

President Trump's Ballroom Is Cover for the Biggest AI Data Center in the World There is an old tradition in Washington of saying one thing while building another. Franklin Roosevelt called it an East Wing expansion. What it actually was — as any historian will confirm — was a bomb shelter, the original Presidential Emergency Operations Center, constructed beneath a convenient architectural fig leaf while the nation was distracted by a world at war. Eight decades later, President Trump is doing something remarkably similar beneath his much-maligned White House ballroom. Only this time, what lies beneath isn’t a Cold War-era bunker with fold-out cots and rotary phones. If the donor list, the contractor profile, and the president’s own words are any indication, what’s being built underground is something far more consequential: the nerve center of American AI supremacy. Last week, Trump confirmed what had been slowly leaking through a “stupid lawsuit” — his words — filed by preservationists opposed to the East Wing’s demolition. The military, he told reporters aboard Air Force One, is constructing a “massive complex” beneath the ballroom. Bulletproof glass. Drone-proof ceilings. The president noted that the ballroom itself “becomes a shed for what’s being built” by the military below. A shed. The man paid $400 million — privately — for a shed. That framing should have triggered more attention than it did. The ballroom, whatever its grandeur, is apparently incidental to the real project. So what is the real project? Much more |

Micro AI Sentry Guns May Be Next Layer Of Defense For Data Centers Against Kamikaze Drones] Micro AI Sentry Guns May Be Next Layer Of Defense For Data Centers Against Kamikaze Drones Most people don’t think about what the “cloud” actually is. It’s a physical building full of servers storing everything from your medical records to your social media. Every Google search, every ChatGPT query, every hospital pulling up your health history routes through a data center. Right now, those buildings have about as much aerial protection as your local Costco. In March 2026, Iranian Shahed drones struck three AWS data centers in the UAE and Bahrain. Multiple availability zones went down simultaneously, taking core services like EC2, S3, and Lambda offline, cascading outages to banks, payment platforms, and ride-hailing apps across the region. It was the first confirmed kinetic attack on a hyperscale data center run by a U.S. company. Shortly after, Iranian state media published a list of “Enemy Technology Infrastructure,” including Microsoft, Google, and Oracle facilities, painting targets on every major cloud provider in contested regions. more |

It's the soon self replicating and becoming way smarter than us humans that's the problem. I already have a pretty amazing vacuuming/mopping robot that’s only $300 bucks. It’s by no means maintenance free but saves me and my terrible back a lot of work. What bothers me about this one even is that it has mapped out my entire house including many rooms it’s not even allowed to go in and certainly sent that information back to China. What I don’t know is how much more information it’s LiDAR and WiFi has gathered besides just the layout ???? In actuality I have three of these things.
