Wow, this southern hospitality ain't no joke.

All keto too. JABA can f*ckin cook! (and that's not just lip service) You all should take note of the plating. Special, just for us.

After quality time with the JABA clan, a mad dash to see some distilleries (well, gift shops anyways).

For little nice things.

nice view

We were at Wild Turkey less than 10 minutes before we got kicked out. I mean, we bought Wild Turkey licker at Wild Turkey and we were behind the sign that said no open licker beyond this point so we were drinking our Wild Turkey at Wild Turkey in the Wild Turkey designated area and the turkeys asked us to close it up and go straight to our car. Mixed signals aside, I take exception to their kicking a Wisconsite out. Do they not understand what we in Wisconsin do for their economy? There were Wisconsin people and cars AT EACH DISTILLERY. The only other state with plates at each distillery was Kentucky. I stopped and talked to some of the Wisconites and they were doing the whole bourbon trail.

So we left for a nice drive to a more polished estate.

Then it was on to the licker barn to buy some of the goods. Looks like we get most everything they have down here, but our pricing is better. OGD 114, $20 in Wisco. KY, $30. weird.

I had a salad to make it look like I was trying to make amends for Claudia Sanders the night before

Followed by a good steak and asparagus

But ruined the keto return with some ice cream that came highly recommended by the locals

can't win. feel like I have to have these things to fully absorb the culture.

The JABA table and bridge shot is a pretty cool call back.

Square non paper plates? Not even the festive blue plates...

It's weird a distillery would kick you out to drink in your car... Seems like it's setting you up.

Woodford does look like what you'd imagine it would. What is the wood and metal thing?

Not gay to work and save money. Unless you want it to be.
I would cut the wall 24 inches up from the finished floor all the way around and replace. That way you can cut a new sheet in half and have two working edges. The part on the floor should be 1/2 up it gets covered with trim anyway. Just make sure it's drywall not plaster that your removing.

Kinda hard to tell from your pics, but is that drywall or plaster and lath?

Drywall is easy to hang. I suck at taping and mudding, though.

Drywall is easy to remove, too. Plaster, not so much. My parents bought a 100 year old house when I was a freshman in high school. Over the course of the summer between 9th-10th (or maybe 10th-11th) grade, I tore out, shoveled into an old grain wagon, and hauled to the dump 28 tons of plaster and lath.

This is the way to do it. Just do your best to keep the cuts (both on the wall and on the new boards) as straight as possible, to minimize the gaps when mudding. Normal drywall mud shrinks as it dries, so large areas of it will sink and/or crack.
