Hey wic, is m390 basically the same shit as 204p?

I used to have access to buy CRKT knives at dealer cost. I bought a lot of them at dirt cheap prices. They are OK if you buy them for wholesale prices. Still seems like they all come up lacking in some way.

It really is masterfully put together. But, there is no way I'm keeping this thing. At least it will be easy to resell. Except, as they aren't making Specters anymore, perhaps they will continue to go up in price? Hard to say. I believe the UT I just ordered from DLT is 204P, and so is every other UT I’ve seen with a 2020 date. Either that or M390. I bet they were wrong about the BH. |

They do batches of knives in the same steel. Everything they've been doing lately is 204P. The last Elmax I remember seeing was on the LUDT. |

I felt like the jagged edges around the lock bar (it was a frame lock too instead of the liner lock they usually are) would cut you just looking at them. The packaging was exactly the same as the cheapo Crossbones version. Action was stiff, probably because of the crappy lockbar. It did not impress. Whereas my midtech was cheaper and all around awesome and Jeff Park had his hands on it. You can pick up the midtechs for reasonable prices, why bother with the CRKT special edition. |
