Took until 1985 for my county to get out of the 0-2 category. Still in the 2-6 though.

Quite a few counties in Kansas have decreased in population over the last 100 years.  More people moving away from small farms and in to the population centers.

You can also see some mining towns popup and later disappear if you look hard enough.

It's kinda like watching a virus spread

In all reality, a majority of this country's problems stem from the fact that the amount of people is too damn high. I think once population gets high enough, the move to socialism is inevitable because there wont be enough good paying jobs around, and the amount of poor people skyrockets, and then socialism happens, like it's happening now.

they should do another one showing the native american numbers declining over the same time period.

the native american / american indian and the destruction of them and their society are poster perfect examples of what uncontrolled immigration results in.

Liberals love to screech about native americans genocide by " white invaders", and they hate christopher columbus's guts as a white invader and the damage him and his kind brought on the native american,  then screech about how important open borders are, but all seem to stupid to relate the arriving columbus and white immigrants to modern immigrants and open borders flooding america, and see how the same thing can happen here / is happening here.

the destruction brought on to the native americans by uncontrolled white immigration, is the perfect example of the down sides to uncontrolled immigration. i have no doubt a few generations in the native americans all wished they had slaughtered every single white / spanish person that set foot on america in the beginning when they actually had a chance of stopping it. immigration is fine, but it has to be controlled, you have to carefully select who gets in and how many get in. just letting anyone in, in large numbers all but guarantees the new people wont become americans, or treasure and fight for american ideals. when the things that made america great die, when those ideals die, you will just be left with the same thing all those immigrants fled from. a shithole, with no freedom or opportunity, but plenty of hate and violence and corruption..

Hah, if that thing is accurate, my county hit 6-18 per square mile in 1880 and stayed there for over 100 years, only breaking into 18-45 just prior to 2000.

At least we get to see the peak of industrial/western/human civilization. It sucks ass and 8 billion other people are seeing it with us but it's only gonna last another decade or two before the collapse begins in earnest.

Also germ theory is pretty cool.
