I bought a 2022 RAM 1500 and for the most part I love it (except for the gas mileage and the quirky Uconnect)

Sticker price was around $53,800 in 2022.

I just built the same truck in 2025. Same options, only 3 things different from what I can see:
5.7 Liter E-Torque Hemi replaced by 3.0 liter twin-turbo Hurricane engine
Slightly larger center screen
20" wheels standard instead of 18" wheels (dumb IMO, it's a truck)

Guess how much?

The only option I put on this is the limited-slip rear differential (which is what I have on mine)

I would make sure I bought ALL of the warranty for that engine.  Have a backup plan.

I have a 100k mile warranty on the Hemi, and there's no way I'm getting rid of mine at the price these new ones are going for.

New Engine:
+ Moderately higher HP / Torque numbers
+ Moderately higher MPG rating
- It's a small twin-turbo engine
- It costs a fortune

I had a customer with a 2022 tremor order a 23. The 23 was $7000 more than the 2022. Trucks are expensive.

The cool thing is that Bidenomics has made my truck go up in value.

Beautiful truck, with a tasteful lift. Love it.

My Wagoneer has the 420/469 version of the Hurricane, 3.92's and full time 4wd, it'll fuckin tote the mail.

I've had a couple of 6.4's prior including a 2021 Power Wagon 410/429 with 4.10's ,good engines with good power, but I would not hesitate for a moment to buy a 1500/2500 with a Hurricane.

I'm not buying a 1/2 ton gas pickup with no V8, I don't care how much power it makes.

ETA there is no 2025 Ram 2500 build feature, only the 2024 that still has the 6.4 gas and Cummins engines.

67k  for a midrange RAM with an unproven engine.
And that's before sales tax, dealer fees, registration...

I guess I'll hold on to my 21 for a bit longer.  50K on it now.

At that price for a six cylinder, I might as well just get a 2500 with a 6.4.

I just built one close to my '22 Laramie and it was $69,515.  IIRC sticker on mine was ~66k.  Mine has the 8.4" touchscreen though and that was not an option on the '25.

2022 was the last year you could get the Hemi without the etorque, which is part of the reason I chose to buy a '22 new last year.

66k sounds a little high for a '22 Laramie, unless you have ALL the options. Base price is around 52.8k for Laramie.

But yeah based on my limited experience '22 was a great year, had most of the kinks worked out from the redesign and the prices didn't go full retard yet.

Might have been around 64?  I paid ~54,500.  Its a 4x4 Sport with 33 gallon tank, trailer brake controller, and more stuff but not fully loaded.  I spent ~3 months shopping.  It was interesting to pull up window stickers from 2021s and 2022s and see how prices and options changed throughout the model year.  I test drove a used 2022 Laramie Level 2 that didnt have blind spot monitoring.
