Most of them are working under the table.
Think about it why would you apply for a permit to work? |

Well they are just coming here for a better life and to escape the brutal oppression of their former dictatorial homeland. [/s]
wow its interesting how easy that bullshit rolls off the tongue |

Open borders are the left’s new Cloward-Piven plan.
Abortion bans are the useful idiot right wing version. |

Roughly only 3,200 asylum seekers in New York City have filed the required paperwork needed to start earning a legal paycheck
Meaning "legally" those people can now pay taxes So they bitch about 87,000 IRS agents to go after everyone else but won't force the illegals, or give thm legal papers to do whatever it takes and make them earn legal paychecks and "pay their fair share" |

Didn't read, but why would they get permits? Permits are for taxable jobs. Taxable income reduces eligibility for handouts.
People like to say the illegals have low IQ's, but it seems like they have a lot of common sense. |

All the poors do this. |

If they get a work permit their employer has to pay taxes, SS, and medicare… Nobody has time for that.

I remember an article about all of the immigrants flooding Europe a few years back.
They said over 70% of them were illiterate in their own language, never mind the language of their host country. I imagine it is pretty much the same with the ones flooding ours. Not only are they probably incapable of filling out the paperwork, the whole concept of filling out forms for something is probably a foreign concept. |

Quoted: Tell that to all the Americans whose SS numbers have been fraudulently used on payroll paperwork for construction companies. View Quote While my comment was originally sarcasm. That would all go away if social security went away. It was never supposed to be an identifier to begin with. |

It's the same here, assimilation has never worked in this history of immigration into this country Denver, a Sanctuary City, for example is clamoring to get these people to work despite their inability to read or speak English https://coloradosun.com/2023/11/07/migrants-venezuela-work-permits/ About 5,500 of the more than 26,000 Venezuelan migrants who’ve come through Denver in the past several months are still here and the adults want to apply for federal work permits, according to outreach workers helping them start new lives in Colorado. The problem is that many migrants don’t have a computer to access the applications, the forms are complicated and confusing, especially when English is not the applicant’s first language, and the process comes with an often out-of-reach cost of about $545. |

There’s a drive in Chicago to get the illegals to fill out the paperwork for work permits, too. There are people helping them. Been all over the news.
Meanwhile, a boutique hotel downtown is being turned into a shelter for the illegals and the workers have been laid off. |

I hope they bankrupt every sanctuary city in the Country and that every voter in those cities feel the full brunt of it.

I guess 'Tay Tay' memes have replaced it. |

No permit to stroll across the border, why ask permission now?
