FPNI, it doesn't matter what their party affiliation is in Utah, you already know what you're getting,

we'll be down to just one in January, don't know if we'll ever be able to take TN-9(Memhpis) though

At least this time of year I get the joy of driving past CA, WA and OR plates in the ditch, with nobody helping them. Edit- add CO to that list, but they are really just queers from CA moving from there to here. Native CO guys are pretty cool. |

Yeah New York sucks… |

Meh. Give me a list with no dems in congress and an R guv and I'll be impressed.
UT is close but Mittens WV is close but Joe Manchin AR makes the list! IA makes the list (in Jan)! ID makes the list! ND makes the list! NE makes the list (surprisingly!) OK makes the list! SD makes the list! WY makes the list (in Jan)! All these states also have R lt guvs, as well. To me, this is a much more impressive list! |

Minnesota will probably be entirely Dem within the next 2 elections. People here complain about crime and car jackings and then vote for idiots like Ellison as AG and worthless Gov Walz. I don't understand Scandinavian idiots. I laugh at them on nextdoor - I'm glad they are getting carjacked and assaulted. They voted for it.

It boggles my mind how many democrats run un-apposed in smaller/local elections around my city.

Quoted: I’m impressed and surprised by WV. View Quote In the 2020 election, every single county was won by Trump. Districts were setting records with huge numbers of people registering Republican. Our Electoral College votes aren't many, but we do what we can. Where I live, the population is 72, but they still check IDs and signatures against their roll books. The state automatically holds random audits to verify there were no voting discrepancies. So far, I feel confident in WV elections. |

Quoted: Enjoy it while you can; before all the California and New York immigrants move in and screw everything up. View Quote That's simply not true. Was supposed to happen to the brand new MT-1 US House district. Ryan Zinke beat the (D) pretty easily. The people moving to red states are by and large self selected conservatives who can't stomach what their former home state turned into and they are remembering that at the voting booth. |

Republican supermajority in the State Legislature, 2 Republican House Reps for the first time since 1921. Only thing that didn't go the way I had hoped is for Ingrid Gustafson to get tossed on her ass. |

Sadly, Alaska's results are in and we have a democrat rep in Congress for the first time in 50 years.
The whole state only has 77k registered democrats. In 2020 our republican representative won by 16 points. We went double digits for Trump in 2020. In this November election, our Republican governor beat the Democrat by 22 points. But we got a democrat rep in 2022... Does not compute. |

View Quote Also, how many state have almost all their reps Republican? KY here has only one of our 6 seats being a democrat. |

But we got a democrat rep in 2022... Does not compute. View Quote Ranked choice voting combined with multiple Republicans running. All done to save a Senatrix who basically acts like a Democrat much of the time despite nominally being a Republican. Any party with multiple candidates will stand a good chance of losing against one that is only running one candidate. The issue here is that competition for the Republican candidacy is desirable, but this is no longer an option under most circumstances using the official electoral system. The only way to maintain some kind of popular input for the Republican candidacy is to have the Alaska GOP run its own internal caucuses/convention or primary beforehand, composed of members, and in this context, would also have to require Republicans to separately apply for and be admitted into membership of the party, like what is done by the Conservatives in the UK. This way a popular election is held for the nominee who then becomes the sole GOP candidate in the race, which is to the disadvantage of the Democrats. |

Ohio is going red to an extreme.
Tim Ryan didn't even win his hometown or his county. Local Democrats are becoming Republicans. We are blessed with a Sec of State that keeps everyone honest. Frank LaRose He will likely be our next AG. |

I wonder what the list is like for the d's.
