Don't have the kits yet so no paint guides.

Will be building WW2 Jeep and CCKW truck.

What color for body and for canvas tops?

Thx

Jeep, Olive Drab.  Canvas top, OD, too.

And a little research will give you correct colors for military models.

Look up Vallejo paints online, you can get color charts with more colors and shades than
you ever imagined.  This paint line is water based acrylics and work well.  I buy them from

https://www.thewarstore.com/vallejo-paint.html

Paint chart:

The "Air" line are prethinned for airbrushing.  The "Model Color" line for brushing, but it can
be thinned for airbrush.  Use their thinner, not water.

Another good paint line, also acrylic, is Mission Model.  You can use the same thinner and
other additives as with Vallejo.

Mission has an OD, and a "faded" OD that I would use for the canvas top.

I buy it here:

Army would be XF-62 and the canvas would range in shades but using XF-49 for the base

The actual color of the canvas was Olive Drab Shade #3 while the paint color was Olive Drab 33070 but that is a huge can of worms when it comes to the "correct" shade of OD.

USMC would be XF-70 with XF-49 canvas.

Any pics of your US Military models some of you would share with colors used?

Only one I have not in a box is a SdKfz222 which would not help you any.

However I can show you all the pics you want of my 1942 Ford GPW and the colors it has and how the dirt and mud collect on it for reference.
