So you are relying on brickseek to tell you when Walmart physically cuts the price of an item.

Which is exactly my point.

Brickseek, in my opinion, doesn't know (or at best doesn't always know) the time Walmart discounts an item. They just show the item as discounted once they (brickseek) see Walmart did it, and that could take days, or even weeks.

however it works, it's served me well, and i've gotten plenty of deals using it.  i've seen actual price drops not one off price cuts on brickseek and gone over to my closest store and the sg associate has said "damn i didn't even get to finish printing out the shelf tags, so it's not too far behind.  brickseek has always been ymmv, i guess ours just does.

I tried a store that had 10 of the 300 Blackouts in stock, the worthless dept manager said she had zero and even checked the back. How you loose 10 of these in a locked case is beyond me.

I’ve been looking for the Sony XB speaker. My 2 local Wally Worlds are missing 40 speakers between the 2. It’s mind blowing how much stuff these stores are missing.

Probably a case of 10 in a plain cardboard box and they're looking for individual boxes.

I think my walmart girlfriend is cheating on me.

Went in yesterday, she went to the back looking for $5 train and defend in 38 special, 45 auto, and 9mm.  She came back with about 1/2 of what they were showing.

A little while later all the quantities dropped to zero.

Stopped in to the WM on the way home from work and snagged 12 boxes of $5 .38spl and 2 boxes of $5 .45acp.  We had to do the "check in the back" routine, but it was otherwise very painless.

Manager told me to come by at the same time tomorrow, that she had some stuff getting marked down that she wouldn't bring out front until then.

Is there any truth to that Winchester Train ammo is not good for long term storage ? Seen in a couple of stores that had match ammo, Brass Maxxx 9mm cans, ZQI 5.56 30rd boxes on the shelves marked clearance but at above regular prices . The assistant manager told me this one store in particular has a ton of high priced ammo that is collecting dust in the back cage. I told him all that ammo he named were all clearanced out 2 to 5 years ago !!

The Winchester Train ammo I bought says right on the box it has lead free primers.  Didn't I read a thread a while back that said lead free primers have a finite shelf life?

I know you said 4-6 person but figured this might be  applicable for value. I got 2 of these at $49.

Hard to go wrong at the price, only bad thing is I think it lacks a tent fly for rain, not certain.

Today I asked the wife unit to check a few stores around 30-40 min

I came home to

18 boxes 38 train
6 boxes 38 defense
3 box 45 train
1 box 45 defend
1 380 defend
3 380 train

A lot of stuff less than 3 a box. Total 32 boxes 130 with tax.

Score!

Guns are gone.

I noticed a lot of stuff I have been waiting awhile for the price to drop on just got zeroed out in the inventory in the stores around me. Some of it before dropping in price at all.

The speaker section in this store was also almost completely empty.

I've heard 10 years is the rule of thumb for lead free primer ammo.  Then again I haven't seen a lot of reports of misfires due to lead free primers.

I'll let you know in a decade.

If every gun is gone they're in the back locked up.  Problem with the inventory or FFL or no one around who can sell the guns for a bit.  Happens occasionally where guns disappear for a bit.

Yes you need a special firearms license to buy ammo in MA. I spent a couple weeks up there recently with friends, I'll have to message them and see if he has any plans to buy a 300blk bolt gun because they can't own ar15s which is probably why there is still so much in stock.

not there, already checked.  lol  they were one of the most accurate stores until a few months ago.   They still show one of the axis .308 that they swear doesn't exit.  17 of the hard rifle cases that are no where to be found.  14 of the soft rifle cases too.  and 7 of the deluxe shotgun cases.  archery crap and muzzleloader supplies as well. not sure what happened there, their head bean counter must have had a stroke or something!, but sporting goods and electronics have been impossible to find anything lately.  they showed fusion 30-30 for 4.50, win xp 30-30 for 4.50 winchester train .45acp for $2.63, winchester defend 9mm for $2.74, winchester train 9mm for $2.40, win 38 train for $2.38 and defend for $2.24, .380 train for $3.34 and defend for $2.74.  none of any of it to be found, but all showing in stock.  older long haired guy said they tried to zero it multiple times, but it keeps coming back.  same with the .308
