I'm only about 2/3 of the way through reading the 4 documents....
ATF was sending out classification letters as late as 2017 clearly stating that bump stocks were *NOT* machine guns. |

Yea the AK is interesting. Seen a lot of AKs over the years. Never that set up

Part one seems to be focusing on the bump stocks, and making the media aware of the nfa and background of other devices besides the bumpstocks.
No agenda here, nope. |

Wow, great work Nolo. Surprised they came through with so much.

What I don't understand is why anything would be blacked out besides stuff like a persons injuries(IE medical info), info of witnesses, , Can you give me some examples in English(vs the sub dialect of English known as legalease)?

Jeesus, it's no wonder bureaucrats are held in such high esteem. Page after page of cut and pasting the same information over and over and over.
Seems that that entire document needs distilled down by removing all the duplicate verbiage in order to be semi-digestible. Whatcha reckon is in all those pages 'removed for further review'? |

We should be getting monthly productions. and as soon as FBI responds I’ll post it up.

Pages 200 - 202 on Volume 2 are very interesting. The email from Ron Turk brings up "1986 statute" as "another legal issue".

WHAT DON'T YOU SEE?
You don't see a list of crimes committed with them! You see a couple of prohibited persons in possession of them but nothing about actively committing a crime with them. Seems pretty odd with some 520,000 out in circulation....statistically there are being used unlawfully some 3/520,000 or 0.0000057% and that's only IF they were actually used in Vegas. |

Looks like they are blocking out some important stuff in Vol 1 and claiming attorney-client privilege. To me there should not be attorney-client privilege between two different departments like the ATF and DOJ on things like this, how about some transperancy.

NO ONE HAS CONFIRMED THAT ANY BUMP FIRE EQUIPPED FIREARM WAS ACTUALLY FIRED (To date). What we do see is that ATF defends it's classification very logically to the press after the Vegas Shooting....I'd bet the redacted report contains the same. |

From Part 2 or 3, looks like he had drivers licenses for Nevada and California at the same time - he was buying guns from Bass Pro stores in both states in late 2016.

Hopefully the atf letters will assist any lawsuits over the bump stock ban.

Quoted: No we do not. Between this disclosure and the one from Las Vegas PD, it can only be confirmed that bump fire stocks were present on some firearms in the hotel room.
